IHOP — Restaurant in West Valley City

I came in for take out. I stood at the front of the restaurant for about 10-15 minutes with over 5 staff in the back not including the chef that had seen me and didn't say or do anything until I asked to see a menu. There was only 2-3 tables about 6 people total in the restaurant all already had their food. The food was cooked very fast. I ordered a burger and a breakfast split that had 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon,2 pieces of sausage, 2 pancakes and 1 full piece of French toast. I changed the sausage and bacon to ham so there would be 4 slices of ham instead. The food came out very quick but the chef put the French toast in with the runny eggs even after I asked if the pancakes and French toast were gonna be separate from the eggs and ham they said ya they do that so nothing gets soggy. When my order came out the chef had put my French toast in with the runny eggs effectively making my French toast soggy. I asked why they did that when they said it wouldn't be in with the eggs and ham and they said it was just how they do it. I asked them to remake it because the person I ordered it for would not eat it that way and because they said it wouldn't be together. The 4 slices of ham in the breakfast order is one slice of ham cut into 4 pieces and they insist that these are normal slices of ham you get when you order breakfast. With the lack of acknowledgement when I first arrived,not listening to the order, the skimping on items that are obvious that they are not correct and them getting mad when I choose to ask questions made this a not so good experience. it now makes sense why they wernt busy during the dinner rush. Please be aware they are nice once they choose to acknowledge your there but once you point out their mistakes they get...

My roommate and I walked in and from the jump, I felt the atmosphere in this restaurant to be off. The person at the front showing people to tables looked at us like he was confessed as to what he was supposed to do, he then sat us at a dirty table. We sat for 30 minutes before our server came and took our order.We were even asked by a passing a server if we had been helped yet and if she could grab us coffee. She brought us coffee and our server. We ordered and sat for over an hour for cold food and received only half of what we ordered. We brought the mistakes to our servers attention. He said he was going to grab the rest. He disappeared again and began bringing food out to other tables who had gotten there a good 45 minutes after us. The other server who brought us coffee comes back and asks if everything is ok. I brought everything to her attention, she brought the manager over and they remade and compensated our food. Then, while we waited for the order to be remade, to go at this point because we had already spent over an hour in this IHOP, I hear the server asking who else is working because there are people up front that need to be seated and she has a full section. One of the bus boys reply to her saying 2 gentleman's names. She then relied with "this is exactly why I do not like working with those 2! They never do anything!" After all this, I took a $10 bill and gave it to her seeing as she was the ONLY employee to help us and we were not in...

We celebrate my sons birthday there every year. We had a party of 13 so I know there is always a wait time. I arrived at 943 am to get the table started.. was advised it would be 10-15 minutes. 20 mins later I checked back in and was advised it would be another 20 minutes because they still were not ready. I told the kid that he should have said something to us since he had already set the expectation of 15 minutes. So another 20 mins go by and they still are not ready.. finally we say we will be split up.. we see 4 tables by each other.. ask if we can have those and he says yes.. then he proceeds to take a small group on the opposite side of the restaurant. We sit down and wait another 20 minutes with no one acknowledging us... so I ask for a manager. I explain the situation and she let's some of move.. still no one comes to take our order. finally and hour and half into we got our food and they forgot part of my order. Waitress says she will bring it.. finally we are leaving so I ask for a box and the rest of my food in a box. She says I'm so sorry I'll give you a discount. Check comes and no discount.. ask about it and still need a box for my food. She comes back with a $2.12 discount... so glad after the experience all you could afford was a $2.12 discount from our $48 dollar bill.. we will find a different place to celebrate my sons Birthday...
