Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Salt Lake City Southwest — Hotel in West Valley City

I stayed at this hotel from May 24–29, 2024, while in town for a graduation at the Maverik Center. From check-in to check-out, the experience was pleasant and comfortable. I was warmly welcomed by two friendly front desk clerks who set a great tone for the stay.

The breakfast exceeded my expectations — definitely above average for a hotel in this category. Housekeeping kept the room tidy and refreshed each day, and every staff member I encountered was genuinely kind and helpful.

The pool area was clean and well maintained, offering a nice spot to relax. One odd moment was coming in late one evening and seeing a young woman sleeping on a bench in the breakfast area while two others sat nearby on their phones. Not sure if they were guests or visitors, but it stood out as unusual.

All in all, I’d gladly stay here again. The location was convenient, the hotel was well cared for, and the team on-site made it a comfortable home...

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Excellent location for literally everything. They have just under 9999 restaurants all within walking distance, every kind of food and price you can imagine. They also sit in a perfect spot for all the local deliveries! I think the best part about the location is the hotel is sandwiched between a Walmart and Target. You can literally walk almost everywhere. The room was ok ( VERY loud ac unit ) and I was there for an extended time so did NOT utilize housekeeping but was able to refill everything in my room from housekeeping while they were on the floor (daily). The lobby was clean, the breakfast was meh and the coffee was always out (do yourself a favor and walk down to Beans n Brew) the staff was VERY kind and friendly. The parking lot was HUGE and safe! Would recommend! (p. s. GREAT views but literally there are no BAD...

Mixed feeling so it’s 3-star only!

Pro: Good location to airport and eat. Room is nice and clean. Complementary breakfast.

Con: My room was noisy even if I turned off the AC. Not sure if there’s a big fan outside or something. Lucky I always brought earplugs with me when travel (and so exhausted everyday back). The worse service was the check-in experience. The lady shown no service attitude. And when I asked for free bottle water, she was a bit unwilling to (no bottle water in the room). I feel my Gold Elite status is worth so much less than 2 bottle water now.

However the other lady who checked me out was very nice. So it’s who you need to deal with (shown inconsistency service training). Good luck to the travelers. Stay...
