First off, I'm a huge fan of Rally House. I shop there in person and online somewhat frequently. I typically have a great experience, with the staff ALWAYS willing to help.
Unfortunately, my experience yesterday at the Rally House in Exton, PA was not one of those great experiences.
I was purchasing one item and got in line behind one person who was being checked out. They happened to have a large order. There were two people working behind the counter — one was checking people out, and the other (who may have been a supervisor or manager) appeared to be fulfilling online or store pickup orders.
When I first got in line, I gestured to the second person, asking if he could check me out. He promptly pointed at the other employee, who was busy with the large order, to let me know I had to wait.
There seemed to be something that needed to be looked up on the computer for the person in front of me, so it was taking longer than a large order typically would. I verbally asked the second gentleman if he could check me out, and once again, he declined.
Mind you, he did not seem to be in a rush while fulfilling orders — he wasn’t under any obvious time crunch. I continued to wait as a line began to form behind me.
After nearly 10 minutes, I asked again if he could help me check out, and AGAIN he refused.
Finally, the person in front of me was done, and about a minute later, I was on my way.
This happened around 6 PM on Sunday, April 6 — not exactly a super busy time. It would have taken one minute for the other gentleman to help me check out, and this bad review wouldn’t have been necessary.
It seemed pretty obvious he just didn’t want to help. The customers in the store should ALWAYS be the priority.
Whomever that employee was needs some additional training on how to...
Read moreI was at the store in Exton on Dec 23, looking for a Xmas gift for my wife (insert typical male joke here) and the place was packed! She had been hinting that she’d like a Saquon Barkley jersey, a seemingly impossible request at such a late date. And, after about 40 minutes of looking, I gave up and grabbed the back up gift of a Kelly Green Jalen Hurts jersey was in hand, as was a gift for my Mother-In-Law. I was saddled with a feeling of melancholy due to having “dropped the gift giving ball” after she had gotten me an excellent Lego set. Unbeknownst to me, my day and my status with my wife were about to improve dramatically. I got to the register to pay when I noticed on the wall of jerseys behind the registers an employee actively placing a few Barkley jerseys on the hooks! I quick asked him to pause the transaction and check for a size acceptable and recommended by my wife and HOLY FLIRKING SHIRTBALLS there was 1 there!!!! I stood there on the verge of tears, amazed that I was going to be able to deliver a good gift on Xmas for once in a long long time! Today, when she opened the gift, she was ecstatic, happy, joyful and all the rest of the good adjectives. Thanks...
Read moreFound a lot of decent tshirts to purchase. Love shopping here, but I asked about a discount I found and the customer service girl told me it was for online only. Which it did say in store as well. I spent over $200. What bothered me the most is I travel a distance to come shopping at their store, she could've given me 10 percent and she could've said it differently. It's not always what you say, it's how you say it Next time I'll take my business elsewhere. Four girls working behind the counter, when it was my turn, it was like I wasn't there. I turned to the customer behind me and said I guess she'll take care of me when she's ready, but nope another girl ended up walking over and did my transaction. Just could've been handled differently and been treated nicer since I spent a lot of money for very few items. Lesson learned, on to a different store to give...
