Terrible Experience with Pharmacist. Disrespectful and Threatening Behavior!!!
I had the unfortunate experience of encountering a pharmacist named Nas? Nos? Something like that. Whatever, doesn't really matter since all the pharmacists seem terrible at this point. I've been thinking about this for a few days now, and I have to air my grievances and warn others, because this last visit to the pharmacy, it was one of the most unpleasant encounters I've had in a long time. From the moment I stepped up to the counter, the pharmacist made it clear that she had little regard for professionalism. First and foremost, she talked down to me in a manner that was not only disrespectful but also very embarrassing! She made me feel as if my concerns over MY MEDICATION didn't matter and that I was wasting her time.
As if her treatment of me wasn't bad enough, her behavior toward her colleagues was equally appalling. I witnessed her yelling at another employee in full view of me and other customers in the middle of our conversation! Her lack of professionalism was not only embarrassing but also deeply concerning, as it raised serious questions about the work culture and ethics of the pharmacy as a whole.
This isn't the first time I've had issues with the pharmacists at this Costco, but despite my attempts to address the issues with the store manager, I think his name is Robert, nothing has been done. I feel so bad for the employees who have to work here...
I don't feel safe having my prescriptions filled here anymore. I've already begun transferring them out and I highly recommend that others do the same! These people in the white coats are completely incompetent! At least the employees in blue try to help... People these days are...
Read moreI am sooooo grateful for the Tire and Battery department at Costco Westlake Village, and more specifically Chip who has not only a very welcoming customer service approach and is also very patient and kind, but goes above the call of duty. Costco installs your tires, naturally, when you buy them there. But they do not do installation of the batteries they sell. No problem, I know how and have bought new batteries the last 2 times my car needed a replacement. I had tried to get to Costco before dark today, but it didn't happen. I'd called ahead and Chip answered, told me he could see on the computer that they had 2 battery models listed as fits and that he would check under the hood when I got there to see which was the best fit for my car. I told him I would have my ratchet set with me and be changing it right there in the parking lot. He recommended, because it was dark, to take the battery home in daylight and just bring back the old one for recycling the next time I was back at the store. Great idea Chip and that became my new plan. This evening when I arrive, Chip came out to look under the hood just as he said he would, we came back in, I bought battery and then Chip said "did you say you have a ratchet set with you? I can change out the battery for you right now". What a gem, gentleman and going above and beyond with customer service to this upper 50's lady with bad shoulders. What would what taken me twice as long and caused me in pain for several days following, he had done in mere minutes!! THANK YOU CHIP for such amazing service, you are an Outstanding Example, Costco is very lucky to have you as an employee, which blessed the lives of Costco...
Read moreToday, I went to pick up my dog's medication and also asked for Zyrtec D, which was behind the counter. Nichole V. was helping me and I asked her about the difference between the original and the Kirkland version. She just said, "It's lower." But lower than what I asked. Unfortunately, she treated me poorly and didn't want to bother asking the pharmacist. I asked her if I purchased the generic brand and, if it didn't work for me if I could exchange it for the original, but she said that I couldn't return it to exchange for the original instead I had to purchase it again. She then added, "Never mind, you can't return it because, by regulations, you have to wait two weeks to get the other one." She told me to ask the pharmacist, but I felt that as the person at the register, she should have known about purchases and exchanges. After all the unkind pressure, I had no choice but to take the original brand. To make matters worse, she looked down and whispered, "You see, we wasted all this time talking when instead you should have just gone to the pharmacist and would've come back by now," she couldn't even look at me in the eyes. It's sad because she had the appearance of humility.
What's happening with people? Why is there so much hostility and rudeness towards others? Stigmatized behavior should not be allowed anywhere, especially at the pharmacy. The management should train their staff to be kind and compassionate, as they are the face of the business.
Nichole, I hope that if you ever need medication and find yourself on the other side of the table, you encounter someone kind, compassionate, and respectful.
I wish I had read the negative pharmacy...
