The food here was delicious just like at any Chipotle I go to normally, but I got in a little bit of a tussle with this very tall and aggressive employee behind the cash register. I visited this location today which is July 6, 2024 between 7:30 pm and 8:15 pm I was there just to get some food like I normally do when I go to any Chipotle location. Tonight was different though and that is because I had to deal with this poorly trained and rude employee. The girl behind the cash register tried charging me $1.85 plus tax for a second side of cheese. My normal order is a chicken bowl with white rice, double scoop of black beans, chicken, green salsa, sour cream, cheese, and for my son I get a side of chicken and two sides of cheese. My son loves his cheese what can I say. I was told that my order was going to be $17.25 and when I asked why the girl said "that they charge for more than one side of any fillings for the burritos or bowls." The girl at the cash register insisted that they normally charge for a second side of cheese which would have made my order $17.25. I go to Chipotle very often in the San Fernando Valley and just happened to be at this location tonight again. So, I decided to stop here to eat knowing that my normal order cost $15.44 and I know this because I was at Chipotle in Northridge two days ago and that's how much it cost. I told her that I never pay $1.85 + tax for a second side of cheese and at any other Chipotle they would just gave it to me with a smile on their face with no issues. I told the girl that if it was a problem to just throw it away and give me my food. I don't know why this was a big deal for $1.85+ tax. Any other Chipotle this wouldn't have been a problem, but for some reason at this location it was. I looked up the Yelp ratings for Chipotles in the area and I just noticed that most Chipotles usually range between a two and three stars on Yelp for different reasons. This Chipotle is no different for sure. The ambience, at this Chipotle location is just like you would expect which is average, but not great. This location on Lindero Canyon Blvd. for the most part is kept clean with the exception of a few napkins on the floor that employees forgot to pick up and the lemonades that were completely emptied and not getting refilled. The trash can situation in the dining area was weird because I saw the employee that I had an issue with taking out the trash out of the trash bins and then all of a sudden the bins disappeared and there were no trash bins to put trash in and this was around 8:15 PM maybe 8:30 PM so not even close to closing time. The bathroom at most Chipotles normally smells like sewage water backed up or the inside of a septic tank which included this location as well , and there were no paper napkins in the dispenser. In conclusion, the food was good, the customer service was horrendous, the dining room and the bathroom is not well kept. As for the Chipotle on Lindero Canyon Blvd in Westlake Village don't try to up charge for ridiculous items with your customers just give them what they want and they will come back for more. As for me returning to this location, I'm not sure I will be returning for more. For anyone who wants good food with bad customer service this location is for...
Read moreLiterally the most unprofessionally run, laziest employed chipotle there is. Do you guys understand this is a coorporate chain that is supposed to be open with inventory stocked until 10:00? I am a restaurant owner and have been coming to this location for the last year and you can never get any food past 9:15. These are the laziest employees I’ve ever laid eyes on. “Can I get salad dressing?” Sorry we didn’t make that today. “Can I get a bag of chips?” Sorry I didn’t make that today… are you kidding me? Get a grip you lazy children. They literally don’t even have any sour cream past 9:15… I’m confused.. you guys don’t have a container of sour cream in the back you can’t open up? No you do, you’re just lazy. Manager with the glasses, you’re trash and I’m mad you make whatever hourly or salary you do to be so horrible at your job. This location deserves to be shut down. Y’all children are trash.
Update:
Stopped by this chipotle tonight for the first time since this review. Asked the little child making my bowls for lettuce in both bowls three times. The other gentleman started to check me out so I didn’t finish watching him make my bowls after mentioning lettuce three times. Get home and there’s no lettuce in my bowls. Don’t even care to eat this food now. I tipped these little children 10 bucks too. This chipotle never ever ever does a good job. Also you guys didn’t mark my bowls at all. I have no idea which one has brown rice all the way on the bottom of the bowl. Also do you guys not scale your dressings? You charge for dressing but put a tablespoon in one and 3 ounces in another....
Read moreStingy with portions.. even though i didnt get meat, cheese or sour cream. (The most expensive costs for them) had to ask for double to get barely a single serving.. as someone who previously worked at chipotle for 4 years i know exactly what 1 portion looks like and this is barely cutting it for a single portion despite asking for extra on everything. Honestly without the meat and dairy my order probably comes to about $1 worth of ingredients at most lmao
next time I'm just walking out at the end. let the incompetent manager breathing down their neck know if they wanna be stingy about their cheapest ingredients then they can toss out the whole bowl they already made and make $0 on it. More people should.
As an ex employee thats worked between a few in ventura & LA county i know There's 2 types of chiptoles. Ones that work smoothly, with a good team and management that works together, and reasonably knows when to cut off "that" customer asking for too much, and have no problem satiating the demand knowing they'll have to prep more regardless.
and those that are either micromanaged to hell where the workers are anxious of getting written up for giving 1 actual company standard portion, or too lazy to keep prepping more for the demand so try sliding by giving the least amount possible (or a mix of both) even coming an hour before dinner rush. This one's definitely the latter.
It sucks because I've been here last year and they were great. Maybe a new manager or something idk. But definitely disappointed spending what's equal to about 45 minutes of my labor for the child's portion...
