Incapable of fixing my Samsung Galaxy Note 20.
I came in for a screen replacement for my phone expecting a simple repair. It was $340 cash (which is less their fault than Samsung's) for the screen assembly. They installed it and immediately I noticed it had a bright halo around the edges and camera which they assured me was "normal", which of course is a lie. I've had screen replacements for this exact phone at other stores and it did not have that problem. Then, after a day it started to develop a major bright area in the middle and bad screen burn-in. Thankfully they told me I could bring it back in to replace the defective screen as long as it was not cracked or water damaged. I brought it in for a 2nd time and they replaced the screen, no problem. The 2nd screen had the same halo, but looked fine to me otherwise. Once again, the screen developed a bright area and screen burn-in after about a day. I called and told them it had the same issue, and wondered if their parts supplier was the problem. They told me they would order from another supplier and would install that one. I brought in the phone for a 3rd time and they replaced it yet again. Yet again, it had the halo and I was waiting for it to develop the bright area, which it did by the next day.
Finally, I called asking for a refund because clearly they did not have the ability to source parts or install them correctly. They told me they wouldn't give me a refund without them getting their defective screen back. They said they would only give me a refund if they left me with a screen-less phone or they would install another broken screen on it. I even offered to settle our losses and accept 50% refund, so that I could keep a functioning screen on it.
They refused and would only offer me $65 if I kept the defective, but functioning screen because they wanted every dollar they would get from the manufacturer's return at the expense of their reputation, customer satisfaction, and me. I finally opted to go in for a 4th time and get a full refund and received my screen-less phone in exchange. I went to uBreakiFix and they replaced the screen at a lower price and the screen had no issues. I don't know why I ever went here in the...
Read moreWas visiting from out of town for vacation and my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 battery completely died and would not recharge. The next day stopped in to see if they could replace it. They said they could if they could get the battery in, but it might take 3-5 days for it to arrive. This was Wednesday. I let them know I would have to leave town by early Saturday morning. She made an additional call to see if they could get the battery in earlier, and she said they could likely get it in Thursday before close. Thankfully the battery arrived right at close on Thursday and it was all ready and fixed on Friday. Kuidos to them for doing a phenomenal job and cleaning out water that was inside the watch; Samsung is lying when they say you can swim with the watch. The woman (did not catch her name) who helped me was so nice, honest, and wonderful to work with. I give them big props for taking on something outside of normal phone repair, especially since I reached out to two other places, the first who I spoke to on the phone and said they would call me back with a quote never did. The second place said they only work on Apple watches. Highly...
Read moreFamily owned, incredible business. Customer service was some of the best I've ever experienced. First of all, if they can't fix your device, you don't pay.
As for my experience, my device was eventually unfixable. At first, they got my device on and running (all I wanted was the pictures off of it and to reset so I could trade in). I paid a fair price for the service, but my device failed again shortly after.
I called, brought it back in. They gave it another two hours of work before realizing we were working with a dead machine. My money was promptly refunded with a smile.
I tipped the tech for his efforts, even though they decided to charge me nothing for the effort. If only every business operated like this one.
Also, the young members of the family have started their own business, selling 3-d printed items (really, really cool stuff) that are featured in the store. Incredible atmosphere. We bought a bunch of them as well, as my kids were enamored.
Simply put, if you have any electronic device failure, you NEED to take your device here first. They will be the first people I call,...
