Uptown Market Whittier — Attraction in Whittier

My daughter and I used to come to this market all the time years ago. We decided to go in today around 2:30 to get a bite to eat and some ice cream. We were waiting for a few minutes, while there was 2 ladies in the back talking. We stood in front of the cash register so they could see us, after one of the ladies made eye contact she continued to talk to the other employee and was enjoying her taco. So after almost 5 minutes of just waiting we left. A simple "hey will be right with you" would have been nice, or a sign saying; employees are on a taco break ,would have been ok. But hey I guess employees chatting and eating is more important than attending to customers. Won't...

This market by far has met my expectations in every way. It is convenient and while the prices may remind you of the convenience it's because of the service from staff and owner that helps you not mind the price. From the previous awesome owner to the now new owner, the market doesn't disappoint. The meat market is also a winner, their meat is always fresh and the customer service from the butchers comes with the friendliest smiles. Last but by no means least, the food deli is just plain good food and service. I would highly recommend this market to anyone and it is definitely one of the perks of why i moved in across the street...

Ive been buying chicken and meat here for years but unfortunately i will have to stop buying here. Last weekend i made a carne asada with chorizo , ranchera , diesmillo , and chicken. Everyone got sick and threw up all night. Everyones stomach was hurting. We definitely got food poisoning from eating the meat from this place. I had a pain in my stomach for nearly 2 days.
