Whittier Marketplace — Attraction in Whittier

Attended again on April 1st, 2025. My neighbor & I were celebrating the "Grand Opening Anniversary" of the "Flaming Grill Buffet"...located in the Ralph's Shopping Center, on Whittier Blvd., in the City Of Whittier..Market Place. Was very happy to see the new dishes that were added since it's opening last year. Residents📢👄we now have Fried Chicken Wings on the Buffet! 👏They are bomb.☺️ 😋🍜🍚🍤🥗🥠🍧. Don't forget to try their soups, rice dishes, seafood, baked fish, an array of veggies every which way. Pastrys, Salad Bar, California & Sushi Rolls😋🦪🍣🍱they even added Tempura Fried Veggies!👍😃 I loved that! Service is excellent & Courteous, spacious & clean. Wheelchair, disabled Friendly and accommodating. So glad to see the new dishes. It was alot better with the view of old Fred C Nellis buildings across the street. Empty lots and a opaque fence for more than a mile. Staters is gone Cardenas Market couldn't make it. I will take this moment ti say.. The barren result of Redeveloment Agency of Whittier. Obviously builders ran out of money or parcels so overpriced few or no takers. With more than a year now we stare at fences and the intersection is confusing at nite. Does anyone have input or knowledge of this massive site like an ominous boneyard with a wonderland name. I believe it has affected the luster of market place. Covid ending perhaps the site will perk up. I try and avoid lengthy comments, I feel for all the merchants. City has grand plans but fails to support what made Whitter ....Whittier. Thanks folks.. be safe...

It's small and doesn't have lots of product out front, that you might need, but they always have the car battery for every kind of car you might have. They do need to have more people to help customers. They can spend lots of time with just one customer. This is frustrating to have to wait longer than should be to pay for your item. They have lots more expensive products for cars in the back and seem to have exactly what you need. If your waiting to get help, sometimes the place gets full of customers and it gets uncomfortable because the place isn't that big. They also never know who is next in line. Their warehouse of products is behind the counter. You can see rows and rows of product. That's why it's small in the front of the store and why they usually have what you need for your old and...
