We went into Raymour and Flanigan hoping to find furniture for our new home. Most people know that Raymour is at a higher price point, which is fine for us if the quality and service matches. We had been to the store on a few occasions. The same sales rep always found us. I won’t name him in case there’s any backlash, but his pushiness and pressure for us to make a sale actually made us avidly avoid purchasing from Raymour. He told us during a Presidents’ Day sale that if we wanted to lock in the price it was only that weekend and we needed to put a deposit on it that day to lock in the sales price. We put the $100 deposit down knowing we’d be able to purchase when we were ready. We ended up changing our mind and selecting a different couch but that experience left us feeling like we didn’t want to give our business to the store. The sales rep did nothing but talk down competitors, literally saying that only poor people shopped at Ashley’s and Bob’s, and kept showing us items out of our price range. We ended up doing all of our purchases from a competitor, not because we’re “poor” but because of our customer service experience. Fast forward, we knew we had to use at the $100 deposit on something so we went into the store to look for something to put that towards. The whole time we were browsing we were being followed by a different rep. This tactic is incredibly annoying and does not help you make a sale. We ended up getting a lamp and you can tell the customer service desk person was annoyed, as was this new following salesman, that we were not purchasing anything from our original quote. They lost what could have been $5k in sales, ultimately because of their own workers and aggressive...
Read moreMy sales rep Kerry Burke was outstanding. I asked a lot of questions and she didn’t miss a beat, polite courteous, professional, apologetic when warranted and I loved working with her on my bedroom purchase! Kerry thank you so much, you made my tough decisions easier and you were honest, friendly and did an outstanding job. I am probably not the easiest to win over and you won me over hands down! Raymour & Flanigan, thanks for making my home beautiful with quality furniture! I hope corporate hears my voice and makes the next VIP party similar to the prior ones, refreshments and light snacks are essential to these gatherings they always made he feel valued appreciated and helped with allowing me to get there for opening hours quickly and have a small snack to make running out of the house without breakfast easier! Coffee and the the light snacks, croissants, danish etc are a small token to show thanks I always loved that about your company! Do whatever you can to bring this back! I do hope to snag a set of wine glasses on my next visit ! Great job guys and the managers were also outstanding making sure my budgeting needs were heard and met! You really do not know how much all of your hard work, efforts and listening skills have done to brighten my day and make my large purchase more palatable!! I’m a fan for life, keep making these miracles happen and the reward will be great for you clients and your staff and company! I know this is true because I myself have been in a customer servicing environment...
Read moreAt first , this place was amazing. Our salesman , amazing. Our furniture, amazing. We figured the delivery crew would be just as professional. Wrong ! Be very VERY cautious when getting furniture at the R&F store in WB because we had bad experiences with 3 deliveries and still have 2 more coming. I complained to the store manager about one delivery guy being creepy and threatening , so he said he'd refund our fees. He never did. Then today, our delivery being a DAY LATE, they are over an hour behind a text they sent saying they were on their way . Then a toothless , dopey, unclean man knocks on my door asking me if I was ok instead of acknowledging how late they were and apologize for any inconvenience. Then when he left he asked again. They are either 2 hours early or a day and 2 hours late , they are rude & shady and unprofessional . Creepy as a matter of fact. The manager didn't care that we spent 15 thousand dollars either. Not one concern as to the treatment we deserved. I think every customer deserves respect but when you choose a store to dump that much money into during a pandemic and they act like you just bought furniture from Big Lots, then there's an issue there. We have decided to do our 2nd & 3rd floor furniture shopping next month, at a totally different store. These people have...
