Joe Amato East End Centre — Local services in Wilkes-Barre Township

Sadly, this was the latest in a long string of disappointing trips to RL.

1. no equal... for years now. For whatever reason, they only carry Splenda and maybe sweet and low (really?) For the past few years as a chain, but when you are someone who uses the artificial sweeteners, you know there is a big difference in taste and sweetness between Splenda and Equal. So, I'm guessing in a cost savings move they got rid of the blue stuff, which means we always skip drinks and go to water.

2)No thousand island dressing (they "discontinued" that one back in 2020 as a chain according to the manager but have several other less common choices which seems odd)... besides knowing I've gotten it every other time I've been to RL, this is either a they ran out or they discontinued it at this location thing, but now my salad is ruined. (Biscuits tasted ok but a bit gummy/undercooked)

3)Mom ordered Lobster dinner with 3 kinds of lobster for mothers day - no drawn/clarified butter. We got melted regular butter heavily salted for all our Lobster. Again, the manager says they no longer carry the other butter. How do you run a seafood restaurant and not have clarified butter? Mind boggling... I expect it is an issue with just this location.

However, based on this location and this manager's feedback, we won't risk going to another location in case he was being truthful. Was a good run RL, my mom and I have come here regularly for...

Lots of stores to choose from and plenty of free parking. Gabes, spots be gone laundry mat (has limited free shuttle van to transport you to and from laundry) Chinese food place is very nice and food is food, there a beauty store forgot name (high priced and unwelcoming) you need a membership to go in store, metro pcs phone store (small but clean) big lots, dollar tree, subways and a nail salon and they just added a Dominican restaurant there as well (food smells good but I haven't tried them yet) This is the mall where they do the free thanksgiving meal handouts. Also there is another restaurant there which is Red Lobster (cant speak on their quality because I havent ate their yet) salvation army is right across the street and a furniture store (can't think of the name... There's a pretty good variety of shops and eateries in this shopping center. Gabes is constantly changing their inventory and have plenty to offer in terms of clothing. Big Lots is always a good place to find a deal and then you have the great selection of food restaurants. Red Lobster you can't really go wrong with, but can be pricey. Serpicos seriously has some of the absolute best food in the area. Their broccoli pizza and subs are to die for. I have yet to find a place where both of these selections are as top notch as they make them. There's even a laundromat in the center of this all. So whatever your need this place will...
