Why on earth would you go anywhere else? I am a native of Wilmington and this is one of Wilmington's best kept secrets to a good many people. They know hardware! And I mean anything from glue to the right bird food, to cutting plexi-glass per your measurements, fixing and tuning your weed eater or edger or similar yard tools and so much more! And keys! They can cut keys! Most any keys to perfection, even if the dealership or whoever says it cannot be done. They can do it most of the time. If you have a project that needs a special screw or other hardware that you just cannot find, or are confused about, don't procrastinate, just take it or a picture of it to them and they will "get her done!" and get it out of your way and off of your list. The customer service is what it SHOULD BE! And the prices are comparable if not less than the large corporate hardware stores. Even if it were a few cents more, I would prefer paying a few pennies more to get my project done quickly and correctly the first time.They will save you money and time in the long run for sure! I went to Craft American Hardware bright and early the morning after Hurricane Isaias to purchase a gas-powered chainsaw. I’d only ever owned an electric chainsaw so I needed assistance in picking one out. Scott was awesome in helping me, assembling the chainsaw, and doing a test run to ensure it worked before I purchased it. He gave me numerous helpful tips, which I noted in my phone so that I would remember them, and he specifically pointed out the type of blade, chain, and fuel I would need. Absolute 10/10 stop for hardware and any outdoor things!! The staff is so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! I must admit I am not the most handy person around, so I tend to get a bit nervous going into stores like this when I need something, but the staff here at Craft American put my mind at such ease :) Not one time did I feel like anyone was talking down to me because of my lack of knowledge or the level of assistance I needed!
