Good Lord I love this store! I can just say to my family, let’s cook dim sum for breakfast and head on over to Saigon Market and get a variety of gyoza, Siaopao and shrimp dumplings to steam and feast on at home. I discovered this store while chatting with another stranger temporarily displaced by Florence 3 years ago, who told me the best ‘oriental’ market to get kickass Thai hot sauce was at a store on Kerr. Now that I chose to stay here, this asian market looks as if the gods came and lifted the chinese supermarket on Main St. in Flushing, NY and plopped it squarely in a strip mall.I heard the original owner of said store retired and now it is owned by new Chinese partners. Well this market has Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, FIlipino, Indian, Caribbean, Mediterranean veggies and food ingredients available and I love it. Something for everyone, and if you are any of the above mentioned ethnicities, please move in droves to these here parts, shop here and make home cooked food! I have lived in NYC, Los Angeles, Boston, Raleigh and this little store has the goods. Here is a pic of my dim sum platter about to disappear...

Well organized with easy to push carts and an extremely helpful, kind staff.

There are so many categories to select from. Bulk bags of rice. Dry goods, Teas, seasonings, Yeasts for fermentation. Live and Frozen Seafood. Fresh and frozen produce. A graciously large snack isle. Cold drinks. Fresh prepared kimchi, duck eggs, quail eggs. Flavored extracts for baking, Agar agar, frozen desserts like mochi and melon bars. Wide selection of frozen meats and organs.

Great Gluten free selections to make gf versions of my favorite recipies: (soy sauce, oyster sauce, Hoisin sauce, rice noodles, rice cake, tapioca starch, potato starch, rice paper wraps) I don't miss out on anything.

Amazing selection of fresh produce, but some of my favorites: (Thai banana, whole Jackfruit, mangoes, ginger, galangal, lemongrass, Thai basil, cilantro, herbs, citrus, yam, taro, greens, garlic chives, daikon,...

I absolutely LOVE this store! I've been wanting to go there for a while, so yesterday I was actually able to make it!

They have SO much stuff that you can't find at any main line grocery store.

I have been looking everywhere for Ube and sweet white rice flour, but I couldn't find it anywhere and everything online was just outrageous price wise... Luckily I was able to find both of them yesterday at this store!

Now I can make Ube butter mochi!

I literally could have spent hours in there just looking! I will definitely visit again and I actually look forward to finding so many other ingredients to cook with! Seeing as they have so many options to choose from!

I definitely recommend! If you're anything like me and you love to cook, you definitely need to go to this store! You will...

This is best multicultural market in town. NOW in a new location ( 1 mile or so down south kerr)! Middle eastern, jamican, japanese, thai, chinese and much more! My favorite matket for spices and flavorings i cant find in a main stream grocery store. They also have herbs, frigidaire, frozen avaible, such as: seafood, dumplings, mochi, basil, lemon grass, dragon fruit, poultry, oxtail, soup bones,.. the list goes on. Also if you are in need of some cookware, plates, or utensils they have that too.
