Let me take you on a journey through time and history in Winter Garden, Florida. Picture this: a quaint town filled with echoes of the past, where the spirit of Florida's railroad pioneers comes alive. As you step into this treasure trove, you'll find yourself surrounded by an abundance of stories etched in memorabilia, each piece whispering tales of perseverance and innovation. Now, imagine sharing this experience with your children. As they wander through the exhibits, their eyes light up with curiosity and wonder. They begin to grasp the monumental legacy left behind by these pioneers, sparking their imagination and igniting a passion for history. This place isn't just a casual visit—it's an entre into a world where history meets excitement. It's a must-visit that transcends seasons, offering a glimpse into Florida's rich heritage while creating cherished memories for you and your family.

There were four rooms absolutely FULL of photos and memorabilia of the history of not only this location but of other Florida train routes and even pieces from all over. Let me put it this way, you HAVE to visit at least three times because everything is labeled and organized so well that you could really spend at least an hour in each area. On top of all that there is to look at, the gentleman who guided me was so sweet and so knowledgeable. I'll absolutely be back. If you're looking for a little something to purchase they have all sorts of pins, patches, hats, tickets, model trains, books. I saw 3 children in there about 6 years old with their parents and they were very well behaved didn't touch anything but each was staring away at everything because there was THAT much to distract and make them happy.

Amazing atmosphere - this small railway Museum, packed from wall to wall with railway artefacts. Extraordinary photographs of the people who forged the railway through Florida’s 1800’s difficult terrain of mosquito and alligator infested swamps! Maybe one day there will be a train standing at the platform....maybe one day. The gentleman who looked after the museum was so interesting full of stories and information, he really took you back in time to thoses days of forging through the wilderness. Along with the extensive and absolutely wonderful railway fixtures and fittings of external railway parts, model railway and interior restaurant dinning crockery and cutlery, plates depicting George Washington which really gave you the atmosphere of the railway back then. Next time we are in Florida we would love to come back for another visit. I bought a really nicely made railway drivers stripy hat, which my husband will wear with pride in England. Thank you very much for a wonderful visit. King Regards Colin and Rae Gilderthorp, Torquay,...

The museum is clearly very interesting it seems to be run on contributions and volunteers. The museum is loaded with items the museum would benefit from being a larger building. Of course this could be developed to create an impressive tourist attraction for the Winter Garden and Central Florida. There seems to be a considerable amount of land available to build. In addition it may be viable to get some track laid and get some old locomotives carriages etc even a miniature railway for the children could be a big crowd puller. To achieve this I suggest donations from railway operators state and Disney (this could be an additional reason for people to visit the area and ultimately visit the various parks. Not to mention that it would demonstrate their intention to be good neighbours to the local community). If a large enough piece of land is available it could be developed into an international display of...
