If I could leave 0 stars I would! It has been problem after problem from the start of service with multiple stops in to fix issues that I have now resorted to going somewhere else to pay them to fix the issues wheel works caused! I will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend!!!

2 months from first visit until today.
First, I came in for service to get it road ready after being in garage for awhile. Got new tires and after first time trying to add air, the stem came out. Back to shop where after crazy amount of time explaining to worker that it wasn't something I did, he realized that the stem was loose and tightened with tool. A few rides later, add air and it did it again. And back to the shop I go, this time the put 'lock tight' on them stems. A few rides later my gear shifts stop working. Back to the shop, while there, I ask if they need to be replaced how lonv could in be. Worker states it could take a YEAR to get parts. 🚩 Worker texts after evaluaton, states I need new gear shifts, I ask him about getting the part which he gives me details of gear shift. Again states that it is out of stock and could be awhile. I go on amazon, order the part myself and get it in a week. But I need to pick up my bike because you can't store, not a problem I totally understand. I go to get my bike and it took 30mins because he didn't enter information correctly in computer about me picking itup while waiting for parts and the other person had to re-enter everything letting me get my bike as instructed. When parts come, I then bring it back in for the work. When I get it back, the handle bars are now turned sideways and loose. The worker goes to straighten them. When he returns my bike he says "the bike is unsafe to ride"🚩 but still acts as if work was good. When I gave you the bike the handlebars were working perfectly without an issue. BUT, THIS ISN'T EVEN WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT IN ORIGINAL REVIEW.
So, today I try to go for 1st ride since getting it back, to test handlebars for myself. And my tire is low, no issue just put air in right...Wrong! Air wouldn't go in, so, I take it to a different shop because the history with Wheel Works isn't good.
Wheel Works when putting lock tight to keep the stem in wheel, locked the whole mechanism making it not function (valve won't move to let air in or out)and now have to purchase a new tire. Current tire only 2 months old and maybe used for 40 miles. Plus, when doing gear work, didn't adjust the gears or breaks after installing new gears (gears and breaks...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed with the treatment I received at Winter Garden Wheel Works while trying to purchase a child rear seat for my bicycle. As a loyal cyclist and U.S. Marine Veteran, I expected a basic level of respect and professionalism, but sadly, that was not the case. Before visiting the store, I called ahead and spoke to an employee named Kevin to confirm the item was available and could be purchased the same day. I specifically mentioned that I was driving 35 minutes in the rain and expressed my hope that everything would work out, as I didn’t want to make the trip for nothing. Upon arrival, I parked about half a city block away and carried both of my bikes to the store in the rain. Despite employees noticing my obvious struggle, not one offered to lend a hand—a small but telling sign of poor customer service. When I entered the store, the staff acknowledged who I was and why I was there. However, after only a few minutes, another customer—a white woman—walked in and announced she was in a rush. The representative assisting me immediately stopped helping me and diverted their attention to her, seemingly expecting me to understand and wait. I did not protest, but it was clear that my time and patronage were not valued. Customer service should be impartial and inclusive, treating all customers with the same level of care and respect, regardless of gender or ethnicity. The “first come, first serve” principle is a cornerstone of fair service, yet my experience felt as though it operated under a different rule—one where minority customers are pushed aside when someone else asserts their urgency. Studies show that 96% of customers base their loyalty on the quality of service they receive, and poor customer service can result in businesses losing up to 68% of their clientele. Unfortunately, Winter Garden Wheel Works has lost mine. I left without making a purchase and will not return. I hope other bike enthusiasts, especially those who value equality and professionalism, consider this review before choosing to give their business to a store that does not treat all customers equally. Respect and fairness are non-negotiable in any industry, and this experience was both disheartening and...
Read moreStarted out great with Jose, when I walked into the store. Helped me picked out my very first clip-on pedals, road bike shoes, chains and cassette for my bike. Did tell him that I was going to ride my bike over the weekend, he then said, we’ll make it work! Well, obviously that didn’t happened and was told that I was going to get my bike Tuesday. After the memorial weekend, called the store and spoke to Josh and said “Your bike will not be ready by next Tuesday the 8th.”
Told josh, I need my bike today, coz’ I have already told my friends who’s driving all the way from Tampa, that I will have my bike so can go riding.
Josh made it happened. I can tell he was not happy because he hanged up on me. Understandable. They store just opened up and here I am calling about my demands and frustration.
Picked up my bike, then have to pay extra $ for the installation, mind you that it was already been paid. He went back in and ask the people in the back is to why I have to pay the extra. Came back and said, that whom ever helped me got the wrong cassette and put it a much more expensive one or the right one. And that they do apologize for I wasn’t notified.
I am not waiting for another 10 or maybe 20 mins or so to changed the cassette for something that it wasn’t my fault. I don’t mind paying the extra $, what frustrates me is a simple communication and honesty would have make things better. I don’t think I’ve said anything to offend anybody at that store. I even told my friends who’s just starting out to get clip-on’s for his road bike and went there the next day to purchase.
