AR Workshop Winter Haven — Attraction in Winter Haven

My first time at AR was a fun candle pouring experience. All the supplies were neatly laid out and ready to go when I arrived. Jessie led an amazing candle making class. She was super sweet and attentive, as she answered all my newbie candle making questions. There are many fragrances to choose from that it was hard to pick just one. I went with the sandalwood and lavender scented candle, which is a great scent for my home office. I’m thinking about going back over the holidays for a Christmas three wick candle option.

It was exciting to look around and think about future DIY projects that I would like to come back for. The bar and whipped soaps on display immediately caught my attention. There are many scents to choose from for men and women. The Winter Haven (in house scent) whipped soap is great for bathroom soap. Additionally, the cashmere musk, coffee sugar scrub is an amazing shower scent soap. Cedar musk and lavender soap bar soap is a family favorite.

AR Workshop Winter Haven is clean and spacious with a restroom in the back. Additionally, they sell snacks and cold drinks at the front counter. The staff are super friendly and tons of fun to have leading DIY classes. AR serves Winter Haven with a diverse staff of incredible individuals that mirror the local population with the hospitality to match. As part of our church’s summer calendar, we had planned an Art & Faith Night - a creative evening intended to bring our community together through hands-on expression and spiritual reflection. However, just three weeks out from the scheduled date, I realized we had not secured anyone to host the event. Cue the stress. That’s when AR Workshop stepped in - specifically, Glenda, whose generosity, flexibility, and professionalism turned a near-crisis into one of the most meaningful moments of our summer. Despite the incredibly short notice - and the fact that she was preparing for her own family’s summer trip - Glenda not only agreed to take on the event but brought it to life with care and excellence. She came on-site, set everything up seamlessly, and went the extra mile by designing a custom logo unique to our church, all while staying within our modest budget. Although we didn’t fill all of the participant slots, Glenda graciously pre-painted several wooden plank projects for us and left a few blank so our church could complete them later. And weeks after the event, without prompting, she even shipped additional paints directly to our church office so I wouldn’t have to make the drive to Winter Haven. My girls & I had such a great time at AR Workshop today! We came as walk ins & the owner greeted us & shared all of the different project options we could choose from. My girls(both 7) chose ceramics to paint & I chose a watercolor to try. The owner was working on a project so she came to sit down beside us to work on hers & asked for my girls input on what she should paint. They loved that she valued their input & we all loved getting to chat with her! It was fun & very relaxing & my girls have already picked tons of projects they'd like to come back to do.
