My family and I have been a client of Tiaâs for 5+ years, however over the past year or so I have been struggling with what to do with my ânatural highlightsâ (gray hair). The idea of transforming from a red box colored hair to a natural/gray friendly color was quite terrifying (all of the skunk hair roots were by no means very flattering). Armed with my unrealistic and unattainable hair transformation video from the internet I go in for my hair appointment. I spoke to Tia about what I wanted and showed her âmy perfect silver hair transformation videoâ. Tia asked me a ton of questions to ensure that we were on the same page about what my hair goal was & the ability or in my case the inability to achieve it with my years of boxed hair color and hair type- she really listened and helped me better understand the magical chemical science behind hair color. She was insightful, understanding, and patient while we discussed what would work with my hair and the direction we would be taking to achieve the best results for me. After her hair wizardry, I left there with beautiful blonde hair feeling great and looking so much better than when I came in. The color and cut is so good, I feel like a new woman every time when I look in the mirror and I have gotten so many compliments on my new hair. Thank you Tia, you are simply the best! You have a VERY loyal...

Edit:
I bought products and had a haircut today. Was told by Kim my "tip is based on the total."
When the haircut service is $30 and the products are $145, tipping the total is unacceptable. American tipping culture is based on services, not on products purchased. It is also unprofessional to address how much you should be tipped in any service industry with your customer, unless of course the customer is not tipping and rude or if the customer is unsure on what to tip based on the service provided. Despite this, I tipped $20 on a $30 haircut as a professional courtesy as a customer and have been with this stylist for close to a year. I have always tipped 20% or more with my stylist.
I unfortunately will not be back for services which saddens me because I felt like I had a very good relationship with my stylist. On top of this she was calling me the wrong name even though ive had maybe 5 haircuts with her prior. This really just felt disrespectful. I get the economy is tough, but I felt I was an opportunity to make more money today and not a customer or person. The ironic thing is that I will not be back to provide future tips so she is actually making less money...
Read moreWas treated very poorly at this salon today. Made my appointment almost 2 months ago with Katelyn. Once there, I was told Katelyn double booked me. I was put to the side and left longer than necessary with dye in my hair while Katelyn began working on another client. When I came back she told me to go to a different chair and all of my personal things had been moved. She roughly towel dried my hair and then said, youâre good to go. She clearly knew I made my appointment (like the last 2 for wash/dye/dry. Why would I want to get my hair dyed and leave with soaking wet hair? She announced that she would find someone to dry my hair, made me move to a 3rd chair with a random stylist Iâd never laid eyes on who then dried my hair. My stylist didnât even have the courtesy to walk up to the counter and apologize or try to make things right. A 3rd random person cashed me out and I left. Very poor treatment. I would have much rather you called me to reschedule if you made the mistake of double booking someone else at the exact time as my appt than treat me in the way I was treated today. You just lost a client...sadly, it doesnât seem...
