I am super disappointed that after 10 years, I need to find a new pool place. I felt compelled to leave a review because Woodbridge Pools has been in the community for so long that there are probably others like me that were loyal because of positive experiences in the past. Unfortunately, I think the older gentleman who was a real presence here for so many years (I think his name is Wally, but not sure) must be scaling back on his hours (well deserved, he is a great guy and we should all be able to retire or at least reduce hours and enjoy life at some point). Also unfortunate, is that the personal touch I grew accustomed to is also gone. You see, I bought a house in 2014 with a pool already installed. I don’t know anything about pools. It was installed by Woodbridge Pools and the previous owners recommended going to them. Well when I needed help or advice I went to them and they guided me through everything. In 2016, I paid to have my liner replaced. The older gentleman was there and as soon as I gave him my address he not only knew my pool, but he knew the previous owners name, knew exactly what liner I needed and it was a great experience. I continued to go to them every time I needed anything, completely loyal to them for every purchase, whether chemicals, or a robotic vacuum, advice on pool maintenance, etc. Every water testing, I gave my address and I assumed they knew my pool like the older gentleman did when I bought my liner in 2016. So fast forward to 2022, I started to feel rocks underneath the liner and I was scared that it might puncture it mid season. I went back to Woodbridge pools, was told I really shouldn’t need to replace it yet because of the “gauge” of what I bought in 2016, but I was still paranoid and decided to proceed, thinking that smoothing out the sand and starting over would solve my problem. They took my address again (which is how I confirmed what I needed back in 2016) and paid for my liner and installation. It was installed by their subcontractors, and I had no issues until 2023 when I opened to crystal clear water but a liner off the track. Called Woodbridge pools and was told to call the installer, who came out, got it back on the track and all was well. Now June 2024, I open the pool again to crystal clear water but the liner falling off the track in 3-4 different spots. Had some back and forth with the installer for a few days because I had to drain and then drain more crystal clear water out of the pool. The 3rd guy who came to my completely empty pool tells me that the liner was the wrong liner for my pool. No one told me this in 2022 or 2023 when they happily cashed my check. We put liner lock and prayed for the best and paid the doubled water bill. I called Woodbridge pools and asked to speak with the manager on 6/12/24. A “supervisor” who did not provide his name, basically told me that this was all my fault, and that their “computers” don’t go back far enough to know what pool I have after all this time—that I need to know exactly what I need when I go to their store. So now I will need another liner and Woodbridge Pools clearly does not provide the personalized guidance they used to so I guess I am starting over and will need to try to find another pool place that I can trust. Maybe I’m old school, but it felt nice to have a place I could go to and not feel ripped off. I hope someone sees this and tells the older guy what they are doing to his reputation.
Update: hope everyone sees the classy response from the owner. Woodbridge pools installed, Woodbridge pools serviced, they are the experts, if they needed more information than my address shouldn't the expert know what to ask? Or was it about taking well over a thousand dollars from me and then all customer service ends? Thanks for proving my point. Woodbridge pools doesn't really care about their customers. Read moreWe decided to buy our first pool and had no idea where to start. Brian made choosing the pool to purchase an easy decision. He was very knowledgeable and we went with his recommendation. We are so happy we did! We also wound up getting a sale price, which saved us about a grand and probably cut his commission considerably, but he gave us the best pool he thought would work for our needs and it's perfect. The contracted installer turned out to not be available for an additional four days from the first scheduled date, so Jeff hooked us up with a second installer who could be there in two. They filled out all the paperwork for permits on their end, so that saved us a ton of paperwork. They recommended the electrician, who was phenomenal. On installation day, we had a problem with some parts and Jeff had a box of parts at our house within 20 minutes of the frantic phone call. Then, the pool hose was missing a valve when the electrician came a day later to do his work, but once again Jeff had someone out to not only drop it off, but also put it on for us within the hour. And last, but certainly not least, the hose sprung a leak and I called Jeff in a total panic. He had someone here replacing the hose within 10 minutes. Jeff was professional, calmly talking me through how to handle the situation at the moment. I've never been charged for any service calls or replacement parts and someone has always come right out. Most people would think I'd be regretting the decision to buy a pool with all the things that have happened, but considering the prompt service and the respectful way I am always treated, I will buy every pool in the future from them! As first time pool owners, we don't know what to expect or how to do things and we have been patiently talked through filter set up, chemicals, and emergencies no matter how much of their time it took. Not once have we ever been treated like a nuisance or been put off to the side to wait for help. They have been kind, helpful, respectful, and responsive. I wish there were more stars to give! This has been an excellent experience, even with the minor bumps along the way!! I can't thank them enough!! Will definitely do business...
Read moreI am writing this review sadly not because of Woodbridge Pools themselves, but because one of their sub contractors: Nick. That fact that this man is still getting business from Woodbridge Pools despite his unprofessional character honestly caused their company to also lose face. My fiancé and I hired Nick to replace a liner in our pool, he started off kind, offering to bring a pump to empty our pool for us since we did not have one. Unfortunately he found some issues when he started removing the tops of the rails...where he called us with the problem and told us he'd be back after we made a decision. I came home to the liner open and on my deck, the box and the packaging thrown throughout my lawn. This was the first time I noticed that Nick was unprofessional. However, being that he was recommended by family members of mine, we proceeded forward. From there we dealt with price changes, rants, last minute cancellations, waiting for phone calls to be returned, and missing bolts. The last time Nick came to my house, he knew that we were home and waiting for him. He arrived at my house, went into my back yard, returned to his vehicle and called me from the street! He did not even have the courtesy or professionalism to come to the door. I find this very ironic. After almost two months of dealing with Nick, my pool remains mostly empty, unfixed, and unable to be fixed due to the colder weather. I would NEVER recommend that anyone using Woodbridge Pools use Nick as their subcontractor unless you enjoy waiting for calls, getting the run around, hearing excuses, and not actually seeing any progress done. I called Woodbridge Pools to notify them of their name being dragged through the mud and the manager was very kind. I hope that people stay clear of Nick and choose an alternate subcontractor when buying from...
