I Pulled up to Wawa In Avenel, New Jersey for gas at approximately 2:30-2:45pm. I waited about 5 minutes and no one came over. I proceeded to go to another pump where two employees were engaging in a conversation . I asked was there anyone available for help, because i was waiting about 5 minutes. The employee engaged in an argument with me, telling me I wasn’t waiting that long. I than began to explain maybe he didn’t see me because there was a truck blocking me. The employee continued to further engage in confrontation by telling me repeatly I wasn’t there. I stated if you and your co-worker weren’t engaging in a conversation maybe you would have seen me. The employee continued to call me a liar. I said, I am a customer, which he replied, customers aren’t always right. After going back and forth I asked for gas in which he replied, Not from him and proceeded to walk away. I went inside to the General manager and explained the situation. His initial reaction was to call the the gas attendant over the walkie to inform him to pump the gas instead of coming outside to descalate the situation. Once i told him I was no longer at the pump, he came outside and stated if he had to pump the gas himself he would, which should have been the initial reaction. As I drove to a pump he walked over to his gas attendant. The general manager came back and stated, the attendant sees where he was wrong and he apologizes on his behalf. I asked for the corporate number and the employee name which he did not give. He said he was “going to take care of it,” however I was not satisfied with that reponse. The manner in which I was treated was unprofessional and I will not be returning for future purchases of merchandise or Gas. Read moreWill never go here again..I bought 2 packs of Swedish fish for my girlfriend that was waiting in car and when I paid I used credit and the girl Barbara didn't ask if I wanted a receipt.of course when I got in car my girlfriend said I bought the wrong ones so for some she put them.back in a 7-11 bag and I didn't even notice and went back into the store to return them no later than 3minutes after i purchased them.so.i go up to the counter and tell barbara I want to exhange them a d she says "nope sorry these are in a 711 bag" so I said i was literally just here and i didn't even see any customers here after me and she says "nope sorry". I go and grab the wawa bag and put the items back in it and go back to her and by now im fuming but I'm still acting cordial with her.and she says " ok do you have a receipt?" I said no you didn't ask me if I wanted one when I payed with credit card I guess you got distracted when you were talking to your boyfriend (another employee she was flirting with while working) she said "no sorry if you don't have a receipt your going to have to leave" I said well call your manager and of course while calling him in with the walkie talkie she said it in the this cutomer is a jerk tone. Lastly, we had asked the gas attendant for payment options. He did not seem willing to help us and wait while we were experiencing technical difficulties. Yet, the said individual eventually turned around; when we were finished transacting with them?!
