If you care for your loved ones don't put them in here. My son is there. He has gone to the hospital due to their neglect. They have given him too much medicine, and abused him. He puts on his call light for them to change his diaper and has had to wait up to 3 hours. He goes to dialysis and the nurse at Davitaa called and asked if they would stop sending my son with soiled diapers. He was left with the phone under his back and they wouldn't help him here is a picture of that incident And the food is disgusting. For dinner he was served one corn tortilla with a piece of turkey Bologna wrapped in it and a small cup of peaches. He mostly gets grilled cheese. Certainly not enough for a grown man. More pictures. I just can't let this go without sharing Now my son will be mistreated AGAIN But something needs to be done about the neglect and mistreatment I have seen other patients as well as my son being ignored and abused. I'm am filing a massive complaint with the authorities. Also I have talked to the insurance about them charging an huge amount of money for food that isn't fit to eat. My sons glasses clothes phone and other items have been stolen from him. He was not given any therapy because the insurance said they didn't fill out the request form properly. He wore the same socks for 5 weeks. I had to bring his medicine from home because they didn't have any of it. But still charged the insurance company top dollar for his meds. He just cries all the time because they totally ignore him. He had to go to the hospital because they let his blood sugar get down to 26. When he returned from dialysis at 10:15am. No one checked on him until almost noon, when they found him unresponsive. And the nurse lied to the paramedics about what time he had returned from dialysis. I wish I had another option for my son but unfortunately not at this time. Please consider another facility for you loved ones. They as well as my son deserve better than this facility has to offer. Hope to here back from the authorities this week. These people (with the exception of Marcos-the CNA Who by the way is the only caring person there) should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat the elderly and disabled people who have been trusted with the care of our loved ones. There is so much more I would like to share. Karma will definitely get these cruel people. And the administration does nothing to try and make thing better for the...
Read moreFirst of all I would like to commend the PT staff, they helped my mother greatly.
Other than that, this facility was horrible! My mother could not eat the food served daily as it was inedible, a family member drove 30 miles round trip daily just to make sure she had nutritional food to eat, along with that my mother became dehydrated due to lack of staff bringing her water. When my mother would push the call button for assistance, it took up to one hour to receive the help. My mother had just undergone a hip replacement; she was unable to make it to the restroom on her own. The restroom was shared by four other people, my mother ended up defecating and urinating on herself while waiting for staff to show up to assist her or for the restroom to be vacant. My mother also came home with a large pressure sore on the bottom of her heal, which would have been easily prevented if the staff would have paid enough attention to moving her feet; she was left laying for long periods of time in one position.... actually, my mother told me she was never moved, except by the PT staff.
The company contacted a family member for comments regarding my mother's treatment after discharge. When he told him of all the deficiencies of the facility, he was hung up on. If you have a family member or you, yourself, are looking for a rehabilitation center after a surgery; I highly recommend you...
Read moreAvoid this place at all costs! My grandfather was at French Prairie for a short time after he had a stroke. He was given a feeding tube against his wishes, and even though he was told it could be removed at any time, the doctors had no intention of doing so, because that would mean that he might be stable enough to move to a different facility. He has diabetes which was well controlled without insulin prior to his arrival. Within a few days he was being given 5 insulin shots a day, and his blood sugar was a roller coaster, due to the liquid vegetable oil, sugar and chemical concoction put in his feeding tube. When my mom demanded that his request to have the tube removed be honored, and told the staff that they would be looking for another facility to care for him, it was threatened that she would be turned in for "elder abuse" because she was only transferring him for "financial gain". Luckily we got him out before he went into a diabetic coma. Within a few weeks of leaving, he was eating normally, and...
