I don't like to leave negative reviews but there was a big problem with an easy fix. On their site under services there's listed "Mens Luxury Cut". I don't know what that is because there's no description, but I have a lot of hair I'm pretty sure I don't qualify for "in and out" service, and I don't mind being charged extra for hard work.
In the online booking, you must select a service before even looking at appointment times. Under services there, there is no "Mens Luxury Cut". I'm dumb and in a hurry, I need to make an appointment now, so I select the only "Mens" option, "Mens In and Out". As a result, service felt very rushed and corners cut to try and make up time for waiting customers. Please make sure that the services offered on the site are worded the same as services offered when booking an appointment, problem fixed.
I wish that hair stylists everywhere could understand this next part: if a customer is wearing glasses, please give them a moment to look at your work with their glasses on before continuing. Do not assume everything is ok because my expression has not changed, I can't see what's going on.
As a first time customer, please ask before doing anything that is outside of cutting my hair. Taking my phone while I'm showing you pictures, placing a hot towel over my face, shoulder massage, putting product in my hair: ask first! I understand I may be abnormal in this respect, I've already consented to invasion of my personal space to get my hair cut. Please just ask.
I wanted to like this place because its a local business and in a convenient location, but all this together lead to a very uncomfortable experience and I won't...
Read moreHad a 3 PM appointment, but arrived 15 mins late. They said the stylist had started on the next person and it would only be a 10-minute wait. I apologized and offered to reschedule, but they insisted I wait. Waited there for 25+ minutes, only to be told I’d have to wait even longer because the barber is moving on to the next person, and before I could say anything they just dismissed me with, “You were late, so it is what it is.”
I understand it's my fault for being late and that means waiting, but don’t make me sit around and then dismiss me so rudely. A customer who’s late is still a customer. If they couldn’t take me (which they knew if the next person already had an appointment), they should’ve just said so and let me reschedule instead of wasting my time.
Just moved to the area and was looking for a regular barber, but after this experience I definitely won’t be coming back. Maybe they have more than enough business and don’t care, but if that’s the case, I’d recommend avoiding this place altogether.
PS: For some reason they kept insisting I was 20 minutes late instead of 15. It felt like they were trying to justify it as a no-show under some policy. I didn’t argue, but it came across...
Read moreI asked for a two block haircut and even provided several reference photos and it ended up turning into an undercut. There was barely any communication until I pointed out that the sides of my hair were COMPLETELY shaved off. At this point, he was desperately trying to get my butchered "two block" to work, which made for an incredibly awkward experience. To make matters worse, my undercut is also uneven, which I could not tell at the time since so much product was used to save my haircut.
This is the second time I've asked for a two block here. The first time was about two years ago and it was actually quite decent. However, the back of my hair was cut extremely short (like the hair on the back of my head barely reached the top of my ears, so it looked like a weird mushroom top). I thought things would be better if I specified to just keep the back a bit longer, but I was terribly mistaken.
I spent $40 on an uneven haircut that I didn't ask for, and now it's going to take months to grow out. Thanks, Fresh Cuts, for making it clear that I won't be...
