Swanky Scoop is the best! Everyone is always happy here. So much deliciousness.  Ice cream flavors rotate, but I will describe what they offered today.  Staff recommendations were for Miso Maple and Jam Tart.  The Miso Maple is super savory and also sweet, kind of like salted caramel.  Jam Tart has lemon curd, raspberry jam, and shortbread.  My son loved Bumpy Road: chocolate ice cream with PB cups, honey roasted peanuts, and marshmallows.  My fav was Malted Coffee Toffee, which is just what it says it is.  Yum.  Canteloupe tastes like a tutti fruiti carnival. These are special flavors you can't find anywhere else. Eight of the ice creams today are dairy free.  Special mention to the amazing coconut based Sun and Cin (sunflower seed butter, cinnamon and maple syrup).  Incredible mouthfeel and flavor.  The OMG Sorbet (Orange, Mango, Ginger) transports you to a tropical vacation.  The ginger tingle is just enough combined with sweet mango and orange.  Wow!  You really have to try this one. Everyone was so nice, offering us tastes and napkins.  They have tasting spoons and lids if you need to take your scoop to go.  My husband says this is like a coffee shop, folks stopping by to get their special treat.  Today in the rain it was perfect.  What a wonderful special treat!

Okay, there were these mixed reviews, and that has held me from visiting this place for a while. Today, I visited them for the first time, and now I understand why. Their ice-cream is on the lighter texture side if you like heavily creamed ice-cream like Salt & Straw. Also, vegan ice-cream naturally has light texture. Today, they have 10 dairy choices and 8 vegan choices. I sampled both kinds, and.... they were pretty good! Their wapple cone was less dense and more crunch which I like better because although I love wapple cones, hard and too sweet wapple cones feel too much with ice-creams. I like thick ice-cream as well, but Swanky's are pretty good too! I am just happy that Bothell/Woodenville area now has a proper gourmet ice-cream shop to visit. We had coffee/brownie & cookie monster flavors.

What fun flavors and I was so excited that they had great gluten free options! THEY HAVE GF WAFFLE CONES!!! The basil was lovely and paired well with the hints of cinnamon and vanilla they put in it. Lighter on the basil flavor than I would prefer, though (it's one of my favorite ice cream flavors ever). I was really excited that there was a GF cookie monster and that they color it with spirulina (blue green algea). The vegan ice cream on that did taste a bit like chapstick, but it was still great to have the GF cookies in there. The other vegan ice cream I tried, orange creamsicle, was SO GOOD! We were so excited we tried so many kinds. The full scoops were HUGE! I would have been better off just getting kids scoops (the basil in the cup by itself was a kids scoop and was plenty big).

Incredible tasting ice cream, friendly staff, great location, great store...

We found this place because one of us has a gluten allergy. Swanky Scoop was recommended to us via an app that locates gluten free establishments. Swanky Scoop came highly rated on the app so we went. Not only do they have gluten free options (including a gluten free cone and cookies) they also have non-dairy, vegan and nut free choices along with more traditional ice cream. The staff is well informed, it is clear they take being allergen conscious seriously.

Now on to the important part... the ice cream. I'm a big chocolate lover and their flavor "death by chocolate" was incredible. I kind of wish I didn't have such a thing for chocolate because I sampled their salted caramel and (if I remember correctly) a goat cheese flavored ice cream. They were both incredible and I would have been just as happy with those.

The store was very hip, with great decor and very clean. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I checked out the website because I was so enamored with the store (especially because the person with the gluten allergy could actually have ice cream in a cone)... I love how it is a family run business. On the website, there is a cute video telling the story...

Swanky Scoop isn’t just ice cream—it’s joy served in a cone.

Our family’s obsession is Death by Chocolate. We used to live in Kirkland, and now—even after moving—we gladly drive 45 minutes to an hour just to be here. Why? Because nothing compares to the moment my granddaughter’s cheeks puff out, her eyes go wide, and her whole face glows with that first bite. That single smile makes the drive worth it every time.

This shop gets it. Ice cream isn’t only about flavor—it’s about memory, connection, and love. Swanky Scoop understands the sacred art of making people feel good.

It helps that the shop is tucked into a walkable, feel-good neighborhood. You can stroll past cafés, bookstores, or simply wander the sidewalks with your cone in hand. It’s the kind of community that invites you to slow down and actually enjoy being alive.

Why do people fall in love with places like this, generation after generation? Because they remind us of what matters. Ice cream melts, but the memories stay forever.

Swanky Scoop is more than dessert—it’s where happiness lives. If you want proof, just look at the smile of a child with chocolate on their cheeks. That’s what keeps us...
