This is such a sad review for me to write as this used to be my all time favorite Best Buy location but my experience today prompted me to write a 1 star review. I don’t even have anyone’s name to specifically write down nor do I want give trouble to any one individual but the service was TERRIBLE. I arrived at around 7:30p on a Monday evening to pick up earphones I order for my father.
After pick up which was quick and decent, I proceeded to check if the Sonos Subwoofer was in stock. It is the last piece to complete my surround sound set, and me and my girlfriend were VERY excited about getting one. Unfortunately, as I watched member after member walk by…no one assisted me. I asked for help from what looked like a supervisor. He was respectful and told me he would find someone for me. 30 minutes later he came back around to ask if I was assisted. I told him no I was still patiently waiting and he proceeded to walk around the store to find someone. He was unsuccessful and explained to me that everyone was with someone. He did state he appreciated my patience and said someone will assist me as he walked away yet again. I’m not really understanding Best Buy’s procedures with ringing an individual up for an item they want to purchase but I just wanted to buy and leave. I waited another 10 minutes and I watched a gentlemen take a guy right in front of me holding a fire stick and start ringing. This larger gentleman definitely made eye contact with me, so I know he saw me patiently and kindly waiting for 30 minutes or so.
After that, I sadly left and walked past 5-6 Best Buy employees who were all hanging out at the exit door, most likely just waiting to go home. Once again, no one looked at me, smiled, said bye, have a nice day… anything that could have prompted me to turn back a round and ask for someone to just ring me up. I am so upset that this Best Buy did this to me today. This is MY Best Buy. The truth is the truth and I had to say something. Beware of the type of service offered. You may need to hunt an associate down or be a lot more aggressive to make your purchase in this store. You can also try buying for pick up if that is an option for you. Read moreIt’s unfortunate that I have to leave such a poor review for Best Buy but it reflects the frustrating experience my family and myself had to deal with.
My mom purchased a $900 camera security system from Best Buy of which she was assured that a technician would come with the cameras and have them installed.
The scheduled appointment for the technician came and went with no one showing up last Tuesday morning. We had our appointment set up between 7am to 1pm. After calling the number (which does not connect you to the actual store but to a outside customer service call center) I rescheduled the appointment for Wednesday morning . Unfortunately I was told our appointment was not in the system.
Wednesday morning there was a no call and no show for the appointment. And again I had to call to make a re scheduled appointment. I was told again our appointment was not in their system and had to reschedule. So we reschedule for a 3rd time for Thursday. Again Thursday morning no call and no show. At this point we go to the actual store to have this resolved.
The manager, assured us that a technician would come Friday morning and gives us the purchased security camera system as that was supposed to have been given when my mom made the initial purchase. The manager did offer us a discount for 4 solar panels which my mom purchased to go along with the security camera system. And again Friday comes and there is a no call, no show.
Saturday morning we go back to the store to find out “surprisingly “the appointment was never inputted into the system. Although we did provide them with a paper receipt that was given to us to show the details or the appointment date and time.
And it seems the solar panels may not be the correct item for the security camera system. 😑😑😑😑 To say this has been a frustrating experience is a huge understatement. The back and forth, the lack of communication, whatever 3rd party technician company they work with, all of it has been a major disappointment. Although the store staff have been apologetic, it still doesn’t make up for the next overall annoying experience we had to deal with. Read moreI have never had a problem with this store until today. I know hours are limited with Coronavirus. I misplaced a Roku remote and saw this store had one in stock. Trying to watch TV in the room I needed the remote for, I rushed to the store. I first tried calling the store to make sure they were open and also to see if the item was in stock. It was impossible to get a live person on the phone and their automated message said they were open until 6pm. I trusted the online inventory was correct that there was still 1 left in stock and we jumped in the car and rushed there, since I live less than 10 minutes away. I arrived at the store at 5:47PM and was met by a few, I guess I'll call them security guards, before entering the store. One young man asked me if I needed help and as I got closer to the entrance he got in my way. I was like that's strange. I said I saw you have a Roku remote in stock and I needed one, so wanted to get it from there, so I can have it ASAP to watch TV later. He informed me that the store was closed. I said the automated message said 6pm. He said they were already at capacity (I noticed two people leaving as I was talking to him) and could not let people in after 5:45pm because they have to sanitize the store. It was 5::47pm. I said then why advertise you're open until 6pm? He had no answer except I couldn't come in and like a bouncer blocked me and my fiancee from entering. I understand things are crazy due to coronavirus, but the hours are 10-6 right now; 8 hours of time open to the public; 16 hours to "sanitize" the store. Further, had I known this weird policy of no one allowed in after 5:45pm, I would have not wasted time driving there. And to be dealt with by security as if I was being denied entry to a club or something, laughable. You wonder why brick and mortar retail is going the way of the dodo.
