We met with a representative in November to do a total renovation of our siding, all of the windows, the front door and shutters. Due to the pandemic we were not able to have the job started until April, which was totally fine. The job started with the windows...went in no problem. Now it was time to do the siding. Here is where the entire job fell apart. They showed up to work with no dumpsters. There was stuff blowing around the neighborhood which my husband had to go and clean up. We explained to them that this is probably not a good idea and that they should wait, we were told no that they were continuing and they didn't know where the dumpster was. As they continued to work, we continued to run into problems. There was a leak in the ceiling due to them not fixing something on the outside correctly. After days of going back and forth they fixed the ceiling, I now have to paint it. One evening, I went to turn on my outdoor lights and they didn't work. Turns out they cut a wire. Again after days of going back and forth, they fixed the wire. They finished the job and didn't put the vinyl cover over the air conditioner wire like we asked, we have called but have gotten no answer. NOW HERE IS THE BIG PROBLEM...the weather got warm and it was time to turn on my AC. The AC didn't work so we called a repair person. Turns out they used the wrong wires on my siding and the caused my AC to break because they went through wires with them. Now I have to repair the AC which will cost me about $7,000 which we did not budget for. I also have to repair the bathroom walls because this is where the wires were for the AC, and this had to be cut open. We are waiting for the additional costs of this. For $35,000 one would think that there would be competent workers and management. Yes, problems happen and they are to be expected...however, the lack of compassion and care from this company is terrible. I do not like to argue with people for them to do their job and to fix their mistakes but this is what needed to be done here on a regular basis. I will not be recommending...
Read moreI was hoping for a better experience, but overall, it was just average at best. While the doors themselves look nice and the salesperson did offer a competitive price, the customer service and follow-up left a lot to be desired.
After placing my order, I had to follow up myself to confirm final measurements for two doors and a windowâsomething I expected the company to manage proactively. I also emailed the salesperson the very next day to request a peephole on the front door, which should have been plenty of time to add to the order. Unfortunately, I was later told it was "too late," which made it seem like the request was never even passed along.
On installation day, the installer arrived early (7:40 AM for an 8:00 AM appointment) and seemed impatient from the start. I explained I needed a few minutes to tend to my dogs before crating them, but he insisted he had to begin immediately due to other time constraints. He also showed up aloneâdespite having to install two full exterior doors and a bathroom windowâraising concerns about whether the company invests adequately in its service teams.
No protective coverings were used to shield my floors or bathroom surfaces during installation, which led to a noticeable mess. The vacuum used for cleanup was ineffective, and it felt like the installer was rushing through the job. The caulking around both doors and the window was also very messyâsloppy work that really detracts from the overall finish. One section of the side door appeared damaged and should likely have been replaced, but the old piece was reused instead.
The salesperson did call the following day to ask how the installation went. I shared all my concerns, and he acknowledged that protective coverings should have been used. He promised a follow-upâwhich never happened. It's now been over three weeks with no further communication.
Based on this experience, I wouldnât choose to work with this company again. Good pricing doesn't make up for poor service, lack of professionalism, and lackluster...
Read moreWe purchased our home in 2021. It was the original siding and thanks to a few good storms we lost some of it. Come to find out we had some other issues going on under it. We decided to remodel our exterior and upgrade the front of our home with stone work. After getting referrals from neighbors we received 4 quotes, all great companies. We decide to go with Tri -State, not because of the price, but there representative Jordan was very patient with us. He didnât try to sell us on anything but instead took the time to walk us through the project, explain what the materials were and why they were important. He gave us options to not only choose from but that would work within our budget. He made himself available to us at all hours of the day and night and worked on getting us samples so we had something to physically see and compare. Choosing siding and stone is not easy from a magazine. Jordon also took the time to find homes they had worked on and showed us photos of the final product, really helping us visualize it on our home and bring it all together. The staff at Tri-State were very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Our project manager was also outstanding. Marcelo was here on day one and came throughout the project. He kept an open line of communication with us, which in our opinion, is very important. We did come across a couple minor issues but each one was addressed and corrected immediately. Marcelo came out personally on his day off to address them. This made things very easy for us. Our overall experience was great and we LOVE how our exterior came out. In our experience we can say when Tri-State says they stand by there product and work, they truly mean it. The Tri-State team was outstanding and we highly recommend them for any projects you may have. Out of all the quotes we received they were fair and offered a great finance plan, if one is need for your project. Thank you everyone at Tri-State Window and Siding for the great experience and...
