Five Star Electronics — Attraction in Worth Township

I don't know who's writing these reviews. But I had a horrible experience. Person behind the counter is nice but she's not the one that deals with the repairs .Never met repairperson must have another job and comes in late. So you're stuck with the awkward position of having to relay your message to the person behind the counter and not the actual repair person. Put television in the shop because I wanted to get it back before the playoffs game started. Paid $69 unrefundable fee which would be put towards repairs if I decide to get it repaired. Got a call two days later I told him to go ahead and repair. Did not hear from them for almost a month. When they did call told me that they was ordering a part from China waited two more weeks I called them told me that part didn't work and if it would hurt another part and that that one didn't work suggested that it would be too costly to work on. Ask me if I wanted them to scrap it." hell no so you could take parts off of it!"I came and got the television. Only problem with the television cuz I had to keep turning it on and off for it to come on but once you came on it stayed on no other problem, surprisely now the sound doesn't work at all. Would not give me back my $69 but told me they would put it towards the price of another television went there to look at the other television 300 was the cheapest one I saw and that was for 43 inch! I've seen way better prices than that at other repair shops. Who in their right mind would spend $300 for refurbished television! Urge you to not waste your time I don't know who's writing these other reviews but I was very patient a month and a half really. You could have least given me back my money since you didn't keep up your end of the deal. And if you took something in to get fixed and got it back and something else isn't working would you be...

Excellent service, very reasonable prices and friendly staff! I thought for sure that my laptop bit the dust. I had all my photos and documents on my computer and I was heartbroken that my pictures would be lost. I read great reviews about Five Star Electronics and I thought I'd give it a shot - so very glad that I did. Even with the holiday, they gave me a quick diagnosis and estimate of parts and service. They were honest on what was needed and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. I was delighted! They replaced the motherboard on my laptop and saved me the stress of worrying about buying a new computer AND all my photos and documents were saved!! The staff is awesome! Tom and Dina are very personable and down to earth, they are good people. I will definitely be a return customer for all my electronic needs. I was having a hard time finding a reputable tv repair shop, but then I found this place online. I wanted to bring in my 86" tv, which is very big and awkward. I had sound, but no picture at all. Called them and asked if they could make arrangements to have someone help me bring in my very large tv. The lady had two guys come outside, and carried the tv in for me. I was told upfront that there was a $65 diagnosis fee, and if I did the repair the $65 would go toward the repair balance, and if not it would go for getting my tv diagnosed. I also was told that time frame for diagnosis would be 3-7 business days. Two days later, I received a call from them, and was told what my tv needed, and what the cost would be. It was very reasonable price to fix it , compared to what a new tv would cost. The tv is now repaired, and working great! I highly recommend them, their service is top notch!
