If I explained everything that went wrong during my experience with Yudin’s Appliances this review would be too long to read, so I’ll give just a few highlights:
I purchased a Miele stackable washer and dryer, and paid $350 for installation. With the first use of my new washer and dryer, the stacked units walked across the room and were unbearably noisy. The stacking kit came apart and the dryer attempted a Kamikaze dive from its position on top of the washer.
After a call to customer service, a Miele technician was sent out. He determined that the shipping struts, which should have been removed by the installers, had been left inside the washer. By this point, after having run that first load of laundry, the struts had become wedged deep inside the machine, such that the technician could no longer remove them.
After lots of back-and-forth, Yudin’s customer service agreed to replace the machine. They confirmed a delivery time, and then called back to rescind delivery of the new unit, insisting instead that they were going to send out a technician to fix the machine. When I objected, saying that having spent a large amount of money to buy new, high-end appliances, I did not want a machine that was already in need of repairs, I was accused of refusing service and WAS TOLD THAT YUDIN'S WOULD STOP WORKING WITH ME ON THIS PROBLEM IF I WROTE A REVIEW of my experience.
I was never able to speak to a manager when I called the store. I was only contacted by the manager after I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and they withheld payment.
After five weeks of frustrating, angry calls back and forth with both Yudin's and Miele (and five weeks without a working washer), Yudin's finally agreed once again to exchange the machine. While removing the original machine, the new installers again confirmed that the shipping struts had been left inside the machine, and that this was, in fact, faulty installation by the original installers sent out by Yudin's. Yudin's customer service contends that this was a manufacturing problem and has refused to refund my installation charges or even offer up an apology for my tremendous inconvenience.
TL;DR Overall, my experience with Yudin’s was beyond disappointing. The store sent out unqualified installers, customer service was abysmal, and in the end, they refused to take responsibility for their mistake. I wouldn’t recommend Yudin’s Appliances to anyone looking for a reliable or pleasant...
Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTED IN YUDINS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased over $40,000 In appliance from Josh which was delivered and installed by one of their installers. The installer did not install the appliance the proper way. I've been patiently waiting for Yudins to take care of this issue now for exactly 1 year since the install. I keep getting the runaround,.."I will speak to the manager", I will get this issue taken care of asap". Nothing has been done yet, I finally called back today and made it clear to Josh that I was fed up and that I needed to speak to a manager, he promised again that a manager would call me back to resolve this issue. I get a call back from Josh stating that now i have to pay the installers to come back and fix the issue. Are you kidding me, You made wait for 1 Year to tell me this? Why should I absorb the cost of something that was done by their installer? unbelievable!!

Susan B Yudain, President of Yundin's, Thank you for your prompt response, only if you were this quick to getting back to me for past year would have been nice. we all know why you respond online because of its an open forum to all your future customers. You are clearly trying to make your company look at no fault. But in reality, we all know if you had taken care of me this negative review would have been a positive one.
Just so I can make things clear to you on how this transaction happened.
Your installers were at my house only once and that was when they installed the appliances. The house was move-in ready, so there was water, gas and electric at the time of installation. Your installers never opened the shutoff valve before installing the freezer. (We all do make mistakes)
The first time I called Josh about this he agreed with me that the installers forgot to open the valve and he would have it taken care of it. I was never told anything about the shutoff valve being in the wrong place nor my house not having water. So please don't throw sand in my eyes or to the people online trying to make a solid decision about purchasing from your company or not.
At this point, I clearly see where you and your company stand as far as your customer satisfaction after taking their money. I WILL NO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH YUDIN'S OR SUGGEST ANYONE SHOULD....
Read morerun away! yes they have great brands but don't do it- we had the viking fridge installed and it is cracked- reported 10 days ago and still nobody has called to address. the owner is belligerent and won't let us speak. The viking hood, installed wrong, and now our viking stove has a gas leak. We have never raised our voices have only BEGGED for them to fix them. Owner Susan Yudin basically said "stop talking or ill hang up". excellent customer service. no remorse, just excuses and blame. NEVER USE THEM. I Feel bad for their employees- she is not a kind human and we spent over 20k.
August 5 update. A technician came out yesterday, (3rd person sent by Yudins) very nice person. He inspected the installed viking hood, said they did it wrong and by them altering it, the warranty was no good. He stated that Yudin agreed to replace it. He Inspected the viking fridge and said a new one has already been ordered. He inspected the viking stove, noted the scorching from the ranges plug that melted after installation causing sparks. He stated the stove will be replaced also. I did request if somebody could email me and confirm this information and he said they would. So far we have not heard anything. I hope it stands true. All we want is to get what we paid for. Mrs Yudins statements are inaccurate and many purely not true. What is true is that I did hang up on her because she wouldn't let me speak, and she was very confrontational as opposed to "how can we help fix this". It was very frustrating and I felt helpless. I know bad things happen, I am very understanding, I wasn't given the opportunity to be heard. I apologize for that, but I needed to end the vehement anger directed at me with mistruths.
Please, we don't want a war, we just want to get what we paid for without having to fight, beg and plead for it. I truly, truly, truly just want this to be fixed and get some type of communication that Yudin's taking the steps to make...
