In 2015 I took a trip to the Cape with my dad . My sister wanted a Cape Cod bracelet. He bought her one that day. He asked me if I wanted one as well and I said no at the time. I regretted to this day. I had no idea that was going to be my dads last summer. I was left without a keepsake from him. Two weeks ago my sister took my niece to this store and she messaged me right away saying, " I think this is the exact store where I got my bracelet from Dad" she bought my niece a bracelet just like hers. So yesterday when I took a day trip to the Cape I decided to go to the same store. I walked in and knew right away it was the same little store I regretted all these years not getting a bracelet from my dad. The owner Steve greeted us right away with a friendly smile. He said Cape Cod bracelets here are the most popular bracelets to get in his store. He didn't even have to measure my wrist he just knew what size I am. It fit like a glove. I ended up getting the all silver one to match my sister's and my nieces. Even though it didn't come from my dad it was still special. This time another special someone bought it for me. =) He even got me the matching earrings to go with it.
The owner was so pleasant to talk to I had a hard time leaving. His enthusiasm reminded me so much of my dad. He was so proud of his little store. I really hope his children take over the store one day to keep the tradition alive. HINT HINT I'm sure there are a lot of families in that cute town that have a lot of traditions of buying jewelry there.
If you are ever in the area and want a keepsake from your parents, don't say no like me.! Get the Cape Cod bracelet and stop by the Silver Unicorn. !!!!!! it's a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Silver Unicorn. I purchased two bracelets totaling $244.38 (one for $140 and one for $90, plus tax). When I came in to exchange the $90 bracelet due to sizing two days later, I was told by a young female sales associate that I only had $59 in credit. I politely explained that this was incorrect based on the pricing of my original receipt, but she insisted and became argumentative. The credit amount should have been $95.63 with tax and she replied she ādid not want to argue over $20ā. It was dismissive, unprofessional, and honestly shocking that someone in retail couldnāt or wouldnāt do basic math.
Despite my efforts to clarify, she dismissed my concerns and said the exchange for an $80 cross was āall setā after huffing and puffing and calling the owner without addressing the math or the error. Her attitude throughout the exchange was unprofessional and condescending.
This was by far the worst customer service Iāve experienced in a retail store. I can only assume sheās related to the owner, because this kind of behavior would be unacceptable in any other setting. I encourage others to take their business elsewhere. If you do decide to shop there, be sure to get an itemized receipt and ask to keep all tags, as neither were provided to me. That certainly made it easier for them to make up whatever amount they wanted...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experience. I see by some of these reviews that I'm not alone. I bought a watch in Sept. for $40. After only wearing it about a half dozen times the straps fell off. I took it back to see what could be done. The owner offered no apologies and I considered him to be condescending. He explained it would be cost ineffective for him to replace the band. He pointed out how frayed it was as though he was blaming me. He said the only thing he could do was sell me another of the same watch for 1/2 price, another $20. He said I could keep the first watch, which I couldn't wear and already paid for, as though he were doing me a favor. Four days after purchasing the second watch I put it on only to notice that it wasn't working at all. Once again, I went back to the store thinking it was probably just the battery. The woman who worked there replied that "of course it was the battery" but never offered to replace it. I did not go in angry and avoid confrontations whenever possible, but this woman was so rude and nasty that I left with a vow never to return. I have now spent over $60 for useless watches; at least until I can get to another jeweler and spend even more for a battery (providing that it is indeed the battery). I live in town and had been a customer for years. I will never go back and will never...
