Great place to get down on a bmx, dirt jumper bike, skateboard, scooter, or roller skates! I've seen them all. Theres a mini park just beside the parking lot which is great for kids to practice in. The bowl on in the middle of the park is my favorite part of the place, but everything was built very well. Better than the Asheville Skateparks in my opinion, and usually less crowded. Most of the locals are pretty cool but as with any skate park there will sometimes be a couple of disrespectful skaters that think they run the place. Sometimes kids will be smoking weed/cigarettes and using pretty bad language in the park👎 Otherwise its an awesome, well kept up park, just be sure to bring a broom during the fall months as the park will gather a lot of leaves! But most of the time the people that are there keep it spotless. Its in a pretty calm area of Cherokee and elk often pass through and can be seen in or mear the park. There is camping and plenty of good food near by, also a motion makers bike shop which can get you a repair or spare inner tube if you need! Bathrooms are just across the street but all the locals just pee behind the big tree above the swimming pool style bowl. AWESOME PARK OF YOU LIKE...
Read moreMy boys love this place! They have benches for resting, nice open space so no one runs into people when on skateboards or scooters. Love the scenery, picturesque, perfect spot for an open skate park! Plenty of shade! The elk and other wild life walk through here, to graze in the open field next to the park. It's a beautiful sight to see when zipping through the many obstacles and ramps they have to offer. There are 2 bowls, 1 large deep bowl and 1 medium size and not as deep. The ramps and rails are plentiful, enough to keep you going for a few hours. I do wish they had a water fountain and bathroom. It's on the Cherokee Reservation so maybe the tribe will look into putting those in. That could be the reason not too many people use the skate park. I also wish kids would clean up after themselves considering there are trash cans. The parking lot is great, but enough and easy to get in and out of, off a main road. And the best part, It's Free and Open to the Public! One of the many reasons I love this...
Read moreWe absolutely LOVE this place. We were travelling thru otw to Gatlinburg a few months ago when my oldest son happened to spot it out. We turned around and went back to let him and my youngest try it out. Even tho they had barely no clue what they were doing trying to skate, they had the most amazing time. They always talk about it and the times they've been there. So now, we try to always stop at least otw there or back every time we go thru. If you're in the area and enjoy being on wheels then for sure go by here and check it out. They have many diff things and it's for all diff levels of riding. If you're just starting out or if you've been a skater for years, they'll have something...
