Driving through Cherokee the place caught my attention by accident. It sits back from the road and is easily missed. Parking was convenient and a friendly cat greeted us on the porch. At first we just looked through the window but the nicest lady motioned us to come in. What a surprise. You are not walking into the expected gift store but a unique museum of Native American Art. Authentic Art that is, no Chinese trinkets here. And the building itself is unique and an experience not to be missed. There is an upstairs with a view of the river. If you come as a visitor to Cherokee here is an opportunity to see real native art in a very special building. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff simply old fashioned welcoming.
