ALDI — Attraction in York

So the pre packaged stuff here has gotten so much better. Tonight i bought Jalapeno & Mango Finishing sauce.... wow was that stuff good n spicy! So this is what else i got... pineapple... whole onsale for 1.39 or something like that, chicken thigh family pack.. bone in.... 99cents a lb.... eggs and a loaf of bread.... cause i eat 2 fried eggs n pan fried toast every day. Back to the sauce... in a non stick pan i put some butter... that i bought at the other Aldi last shopping trip. Then i took off the skin & seasoned the chicken... tough of salt, garlic powder, onion powder blk pepper and a dash of season salt.... 7 minutes on each side, check temp .... should be 160• then glaze with the finishing sauce.... cover.... let it finish cooking. While ur waiting for the sides to cook of the chicken, chop the top off the pineapple and cut it up like the label says! Get ur george forman grill out, spray it with non stick stuff... let it heat up and put pineapple on... after u glaze n cover chicken, flip pineapple so the grill will cross scar. Hopefully you have been smart enough to boill water with jasmine rice. Serve chicken over rice with the sauce and gravy in the pan on top and pineapple on side. You probably will want another veggie... but i got lazy and thats it. So thats why i love aldi.... good food... quality and affordable. Easy to make. Plus.... The staff is...

I have always loved Aldi. The prices cannot be beat. However, the past two times I have been there (aldi on Loucks road), the employees working the register were extremely rude. The first time (man around mid 20s - brown hair) was mad that someone took his cart and stormed out of the store to get a new one. Upon arriving back with a new one he nearly ran a customer over with the cart and then smashed it into the counter and started screaming. It was very unprofessional. The second encounter (today - 7/18 - woman in 40-50 range, short blond hair) was obnoxiously throwing food in the cart without a care if she was smashing anything. She then proceeded to yell at an old lady for forgetting to use the divider stick. Once I told her it was an accident and no big deal she immediately changed her demeanor and started acting as if she was the sweetest person. I don’t like to complain and hardly ever write reviews but I would like to continue to shop at aldi without feeling...

I love Aldis! I come here about once a week. Occasionally I will find some great deals on items that I cannot pass up. I have learned that sometimes these wonderful prices don't allow things to stay on the shelves long... So when at times I had taken pictures of said items to get approval from the wife committee...only to no longer be available.. I guess I can always chalk it up to someone else didn't need to go through that process. But...sticking to the topic of the store.... I am SO glad that they also allow credit cards to be used. I carry no cash on me. So this is a good thing. I will let you know....that you have to either bring your own bag/box to put your items in or rent the cart and return it to get your change back. I often do not bother with all that and get small items that I can carry in my arms. Just easier...
