We were there on Wednesday afternoon around 330-4pm. When we had arrived they weren't busy. There was only one other couple there. While we were there, one of the employees was cleaning the poles on the buffet tables with a green scrubby and a rag. It was nice to see that they maintain a clean facility but I don't feel they should be doing it while being open. There was food on the tables n they were uncovered so that exposed the food to any dust, dirt or chemicals that were on the rag or scrubby. Also, some of the scrubby could have went into the food. My boyfriend and I both went up n made one plate of food. The food was not fresh n hot. We both ate about a couple a bites n it did not taste very good and our stomach's felt upset. We did not get anymore plates nor did we finish what we did get. We also did not even drink any of our drinks. When we went to pay, we expressed how we did not eat any of our food, which she was already aware because the person that cleaned our table told her. Her excuse was that they are in transition of switching over from lunch to dinner. I had expressed to her that how is that fair to us to receive the food that has been sitting there all day and we are paying full price as well. She did not respond back and continued to charge us full price for both of us knowing we did not even eat. I have been in the restaurant/service industry for over 20 years and I understand it is upsetting to take a loss but sometimes the loss is worth taking to make the customer happy and not lose them as a customer. Needless to stay, we will never return to this establishment nor will we refer anybody there. I am very upset that we had paid $20 at a place we did not even eat and they did not even apologize once or attempt to fix...
Read moreI've left a 4 out of 5 stars review before on Yelp, but I see that Google is the main way the ratings and responses are conveyed. I have never been sick before eating here. I brought my wife two days ago on Halloween night, and she has been throwing up multiple times a day since. We both were fasting the day of going to the buffet, so there were no other foods ingested. I had the General Tso Chicken, Chicken on a Stick, Fried Rice, Salmon, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and the Potato Cubes. Everything tasted good and I had no illness. She however had these items which I did not eat, Apples, Peaches, Oranges, Sushi, Lo Mein, and both variety of Cakes. She is Filipina, so these are normal in her culture to eat. My guess is something may have been wrong with the Sushi, or one of the fruits. As soon as we left the restaurant, she threw up 4 times by the car. At first I though maybe she ate too much. But she was still throwing up the next day (Yesterday as of this review) and still feels sick today. There was food poisoning that took place. Either that, or a very dirty utensil from another patron who scooped food if she didn't sanitize her hands prior to eating in between meals like I always do. There are always dirty slobs that go to buffets, and the restaurant can't control that. My hunch however, is that she got poisoning from something spoiled. I am open to hearing out the restaurant...
Read moreEvery time i pass that inside-outside barrier to a chinese buffet i believe they call a 门(door in english), i never know what to expect. My first impression is the smell. Let me tell you about the "China Buffet" smell: it's alright. Everything else though is almost alright. Now i don't expect a perfect experience from a strip-mall buffet, but this place is unsettling. I wasn't sure if i was in a real chinese buffet, or a scene in an M Night Shamalalaland film. The food was real, but the people i thought, were not. They had a canned appearance as if someone else had dressed them for the parts they were playing. Dead stares like they were veing paid to be there, and they couldn't even afford real asian actors to play the employees, they got latinos instead. But then i saw no cameras, and i realised i was DEAD wrong. This was no movie, but it was also no regular restaurant, this was clearly an extremely elaborate chinese buffet option for a nursing home. I didn't ask which one or any other questions because i figured some were dementia patients and they were being led to believe they were not imprisoned in a. Facility. I felt sad for them. The generic "China Buffet" name, and apahetic staff made sense to me now. This place was not for me, it was one of the last stops on these poor souls' train to the grave. 2 stars!!!! The food isn't meant for people with fully...
