Fuji Hanna was great when it first opened. But now the service is poor and the sushi cuts have gotten so small its a joke for the price they are charging. I am assuming here but I am guessing that a lot of the wait staff are unhappy as they are like robots when dealing with customers. Here again they use to be real friendly and joke around now its like they are not being treated well or are otherwise not happy. To boot the owner and his partner or son are very unperson-able and UN-flexable even in the face of logic. Here is an example of my last visit. I usually sit at the sushi bar and as a result I always tip both the server and the sushi chef. This becomes harder to do when the portions are so small but none the less I always do. I tip the server 15% and the sushi chef usually gets another 10%. Now when you sit at the sushi bar they always give you a small freebie like a imitation crab meat salad. The other day I went in and a guy was sitting right in the middle of the 5 seats available at the sushi bar. Just in the interest of arm room I asked to sit at a table 10ft away but still in the sushi area. I asked the waitress if I could still have the complementary salad with my order as I would tip the sushi chef just as if I were at the bar. Now keep in mind even at lunch I never order less then 40 - 50 dollars worth of sushi. But for some reason when she asked the owner he felt compelled to stick to his guns and tell the waitress it would be 5.95 for the salad because I was not at the bar. So 10ft away I guy who ordered 15.00 worth of sushi gets the freebie but the regular customer with a 45.00 order who tips higher then average would have to pay for sitting in the both. Keep in mind the free portion is two or three bites while the paid version is a larger serving. What sense does this make? So now the sizes are smaller, the wait staff are distressed and unfriendly and the policy's make no sense. Can you say "How many ways can I not keep a customer"? There are a lot of sushi bars in York now and I am sure someone has to be doing a better job and offering a better deal then this over inflated has been restaurant. I suspect they will not be...
Read moreZero stars. I should have walked out. Here’s what happened. I called in to order take out. I was put on hold and they never came back, so I drove in. My coworkers suggested I go there. I told the hostess I’d like to order out but I may sit at the front table to eat some. She said I had to sit at a table with a server. No problem. I had a terrible experience with my server. I ordered the lunch special I asked for cream cheese in cal roll she looked at me like it was a problem and said she was charging me a dollar. Fine.Charge me a dollar. I asked what the vegetables were in the entree, as they were not on the menu. She told me mushrooms and onions. I cant eat them. I asked for broccoli instead and she said no. Only 2 substitutions, which I didn’t have any I added something and I paid the ridiculous $1for it. That’s not a substitution. So I kept looking at other things on the menu. I chose another entree that was more expensive and she said mush and onions were with that too and I can’t substitute. I started to get aggravated as I didn’t have much time to waste. She was not accommodating in any way. Everything was no. Finally I said ma’am I just want to order lunch and it seems like this is so difficult. Can you please suggest something on the menu that I’m asking for. She didn’t serve my food or check on me the entire time. She didn’t give me my check, I had to go find her. My bill was $6 more because she wouldn’t serve me broccoli. I was a server and I don’t have it in my heart to stiff waitress’ I gave her a tip. When I got up she rushed over to open the book then she started following me, like my tip was nothing. I will never go back to this place. It was casual Friday. I look young but I’m not. I’m a paying customer, and I was also there for the first time. She made a horrible impression. This server should not be on the floor. For this reason I will...
Read moreI always enjoy eating here. I love hibachi in general so I’ll eat it any time, any where! However, the Hibachi location located on Route 30 is not the same as when they first opened. Like I said, I love hibachi so I used to eat here ALOT. But lately, not so much. The staff isn’t as friendly anymore, the hosts seem tired and aggressive and the last 2 times I went, our chefs didn’t even talk to us. That really didn’t have any effect on the food. The food was great. I’ve never eaten anything bad here. Not ever. But, I used to also enjoy eating here because of the environment. I used to know some of the chefs by name, but not anymore. I pick up my food to go more times than not, now. It is possible they are just too busy. If you don’t make a reservation during diner time or especially on the weekend, you can expect to wait a minimum of 2 hours. Which may seem normal to you, but I’m used to coming in and sitting down so, I’m not a fan of all of that waiting. Then pair that with poor attitudes from the staff? Not a good mix. And I’m not speaking about one bad experience. It’s been like this the past 5 times I’ve visited so it seems to be consistent. Either way, if you don’t care too much about the interactions, the food is still great! Not over cooked and not greasy. The rice portion has been cut back a bit, but it still is so much food, that’s ok. I just pay the extra $ amount and get...
