Hippo Bubble Tea — Restaurant in York

I’ve tried a few bubble tea places and can’t say I’m overly impressed. I did enjoy this one more. The pearls aren’t as big as some places and the first time I ever drank bubble tea I had a pearl get stuck which made me panic. I enjoyed this facility because not only were the “bubbles” smaller and less chewy, the worker was awesome! I told him I wasn’t sure what I wanted so he helped guide me. I got just the milk tea, and said I wanted some pearls but was scared cuz of getting one stuck before. He happily listened and suggested the pearls Vs the tapioca. He was great with explaining what pearl flavors would go well with the milk tea. I stated I wanted some tapioca pearls and he listened! Gave the perfect amount. Also, the lights are super neat! They close!!! Wish I got the workers name to give him a shout out. Great listener, helpful and accommodating. Keep up...

The place is clean and fun the staff is great. But I feel the drinks are lacking. Iv had 3 different drinks and have not been impressed. I have had the lavender milk tea boba didn't taste like lavender at all but I figured lavender is hard to get right. Next I tried the mint milk boba I didn't taste any mint in it at all it was just a bland milky Flavor that was colored green.we orderd the watermelon smoothie it tasted chalky and I couldn't finish it. My daughter and husband both dislike it as well. Honestly iv had so many boba drinks at kung-fu tea at queens gate. I have loved every one iv had their. So to be Honest I'd rather pay the extra and keep going to kung-fu tea...

This place was an absolute charm ✨ and totally worth checking out! The atmosphere was clean, calm, and refreshing. 🌿 The place itself is super cute 🥰 and unique as well as the silly 🤪 name which caught my attention. The workers there were very kind and friendly. The drink I had was the melon 🍈 with tapioca boba 🧋. It was perfectly sweet and sooooo refreshing! Totally quenched my thirst during the summer air ☁️. This place with aesthetically neat and I would totally come again and recommend anyone who wants a nice boba 🧋drink. Their menu is over the top with options. This is place is amazing 👏!
