What a wonderful surprise! I cannot tell you how pleased I was to see the life pumped back into Central Market. The last time I was there was about a year ago and I thought that the market was standing on it's last leg( was having a slow death scene). It seemed somewhat deserted and sparsely populated. Sat. it seemed to have taken on a new life. New stands, new vendors, new businesses....and new people. At the back of the market where there is seating available, it was all done up with streamers and to top all off, they act at had an ensemble there ( 2 strings - violins or fiddles - and a bassoon. I cannot tell you how pleased I was to visit the new and improved market place. The vendors were so friendly saying " good morning" or "hello" to possible customers. It felt as though there was a resurgence of new blood coming into the market. Thank you Central Market for making me so proud to be a York Countian. What a delight to be able to share this with a girlfriend from Philadelphia.
