Remember that this is a taproom first and a restaurant second.

I have been here a couple of times, and pretty much get the same experience every time.

The beer selection is excellent. They have multiples of each type of beer so you can find one to your liking. There is a $10 minimum on credit card charges, so make sure you order more than one drink.

The food was average. I got a crab pretzel and it left me disappointed. Most of the crab dip was fishy tasting cheese and very little crab meat. One of my friends ordered a caesar salad and it was really poor tasting. It was grilled style, so you have to cut it up yourself. The dressing was very bland and didn't taste like caesar at all; it tasted more like ranch. My friends who ordered the wings said they were excellent.

As for atmosphere, it is an average sports bar. There are 2-3 TV's per room, so not as overwhelming as Buffalo Wild Wings. It of course is loud, casual, and laid back, which is nice with friends. I don't like that they only have one register. This makes for a lot of waiting in line! It was a "slow" night and we still waiting five minutes just to order drinks and food. On a busy night, I have waited 20 minutes to order a drink! I know that wouldn't bother some people, but it bothers me; that is a long time to wait. The woman's bathroom is a typical bar bathroom. There are only two toilets, so there is a lot of waiting there too.

Why I gave it a 3 star, it is an average place. It is a good place to go with friends to have fun watching a game and drinking some...

I love Holy Hound and have always had a great experience but tonight was slightly disappointing. I went with my boyfriend and his family for a birthday dinner for his mom and had amazing beer and food for sure! Pulled pork BBQ was the way to go! However, we waited for our server to come back for over 25 mins and had to ask another server to bring our check. We had somewhere else to be and found it very frustrating that we had to ask someone else to help us out since our server was nowhere to be found. He was an older gentleman that has silver hair for anyone who wants to know. Also, the server that brought us our check openly admitted our original servers shift ended at 6p and had clocked out for the night! How unprofessional! We waited until 625 to even ask for the check since we couldn’t find our waiter! I understand if people have emergency’s or just need to get home to their families but the reason I brought this up to the staff at the restaurant and I’m writing this review is because down the bar, we saw our waiter.... off the clock. Drinking a beer with his buddies. Come on, be professional and at least give us our checks and let us know you’re not coming back to our table. I usually never write reviews like this and was trying to decide if I should give a 2 or 3 star for this but because we’ve come here often and had great food before, it wasn’t worth a 2 rating. Please speak to whoever this is and let him know he really disappointed and frustrated a family of regulars that support...

My family and I had a great experience this Saturday night and were fully aware of table service ending at 9pm, table of five. We seated at 7:15pm after walking in, being stared at by five employees behind the bar, and then told to sit wherever once I finally approached fully to the bar - no greeting, welcome, or interest from the blonde girl behind the bar who supposedly was running the shift. We did not receive any service past 8:15pm. After receiving our food and waiting a full 25 minutes with no service after that, I approached the bartender who said that they were “dead” and the servers were “cut but should’ve communicated that to us”. She also stated she would “speak to them if they were still there”, after saying they were cut, so nobody will be coached or informed of this error. The one time we did have someone see us, when our drinks were ready, the kid with curly hair asked who ordered a specific drink - I answered and he looked me up and down before not speaking and setting it on the other end of the table. We had a 190 dollar tab at a local bar for a full family meal and received absolutely abysmal treatment - do not go here if you want anything more than a beer. The whole place is run by students and they should not advertise as a dinner location at this price point if they can’t even have a server stay for their own tables or a FOOD RUNNER deliver a drink.
