We went on the first nice spring day we have had in about two months. And there were a lot of people out on the walk. We used are cell phones to find more information about this walk and also for a place to park. Turns out there are numerous places that you can park. We specifically wanted to go on a bouncy bridge, turns out when we got to the water we went to the left and went away ways, maybe a half a mile, and got to a beach area. Apparently the walk does continue for another three-quarters of a mile or maybe more, not sure. I believe that end section of the trail is locally noted as being dangerous, it is a little high up and narrow in some spots. Everywhere that we were walking however was safe and very family friendly. Many people with dogs on leashes. They also have a very strict dog poop policy. So we turned around and retraced our steps and then continued on and finally found the bouncy bridge and Forest that we had been looking for. Lots of fresh air, lots of sunshine, the combination which always makes me hungry and tired, in that order, LOL. A...

I only walked part of it, from the dock, under the bridge and up the side of the bridge to the parking area. I believe one part of the trail goes between 🏠 houses and the docks. It connects to the Wobbly Bridge which leads to Steedman Woods. Update: August 2023; I finally walked along the harbor and it was a pleasant walk. It ends in a neighborhood. Part of the trail access ♿ has been washed away due to heavy rain. You still have access if you are in...

Fisherman's Walk is the best of both worlds - you have access to a beautiful walking trail that leads to the woods and also a lovely ocean view. This trail also leads to the town beach, which is a great pit stop if you are looking to unwind and enjoy a walk along the coastline. I take my dog here almost daily and walk this loop.

Definitely go here if you are looking to get some good exercise, fresh air, and...

One segment on a long walk that I went on including the cliff walk, and the wiggle bridge. This is a very important segment connecting the two and allowing one to walk and enjoy York Harbor and the ocean. Many opportunities to take photos and to enjoy the fresh air. I recommend you explore this whole area, spend a day and use the Fishmen's walk to get around as parking is tight, so the walkways are even more valuable.

If you plan a visit to York Harbor in southern Maine, and would like a fun, non-strenuous walk by the water (including the York River), then do include Fisherman's Walk, which will take you over the famous Wiggly Bridge and into Steedman Woods. As always in the woods or undergrowth, take precautions against ticks. Wiggly Bridge is no doubt tick-free!
