Ok, I’m reluctant on putting this out there because a crowed place may become more crowded (haha) but this may be in my opinion to have a beautiful walk, a warm swim because the ocean temps never get warm here and and a hiking trail with absolute beauty. Sunrise and sunset is hard to beat. The star of the attraction is the Wiggly bridge itself, a suspension bridge that wiggles when you walk over it. It may not sound like a big deal but aren’t you here for a laid back and tranquil time. The way I see living here to me is time has no place and just enjoy the sounds, smells and the cool Maine air. There will be plenty of time for the day to day grind. Oh, I almost forgot be prepared to have four legged friends looking for pets and lovin. We are all about our dogs and living Maines motto, “ The Way Life should Be”. If you are not a dog person the best time to go would typically be after 6pm when dogs have more options of walking on...

Even though the weather was a bit chilly, raw and very misty/foggy.... My family very much enjoyed our Wiggly Bridge adventure. It was a great little New Years day walk, in a new place. The views (yes even with the fog and mist) were breath taking, my children (10 and 7) loved seeing the tidal flats, and walking the woodland trail. It was also nice to see the trail had some informational signs as well. We were able to take some awesome pictures; as well as make some memories that will last a life time. I had read that the street parking was limited, and it is. Much of it is permit parking and a few spots are 15 minute only parking. But there are a few spots that have no restrictions on them.

ALL OF THAT BEING SAID- we did go on New Year's day, so we are very much looking forward to going back in the Spring,...

Such a beautiful and well maintained place to visit. Down side is parking if you are not a resident. There a 4 non resident parking spots on Lilac St. I'm not sure where you park when that is full. I had a lovely resident explain this me and I got the last spot. I have difficulty walking so this makes your walk a little longer but there is a sidewalk and there is an under the street walkway to get to walking path. There is a nicely groomed trail before and after wiggly bridge. You can wander through the woods along the water, sit by the bank, watch the boats, birds, have a bite to eat or just enjoy nature. Don't forget to bring something for the Fairy hole. I highly...

York, Maine is a beautiful town to explore, and Wiggly Bridge only adds to the list of fun things to do. How many people can say that they've walked across the world's smallest suspension bridge? 🌲 Wiggly Bridge takes you across the York River and into Steedman Woods, which you should definitely also hike through. The trails are easy and take you past scenic water views and through beautiful woods. ⚓️ Fisherman’s Walk is also right there, and takes you out to the York harbor. It links up with the Cliff Walk Trail which has even more scenic views. 🅿️ Parking can be a bit tricky, unless you have a parking permit for the area, but there are some 2-hour parking spots on Rt 103 (Lilac Lane), and a tiny parking lot located at 2 Harris Island Road. #yorkmaine #wigglybridge #visitmaine #suspensionbridge

This easy trail walk was perfect for my 5 and 2 (nearly 3) year olds. 🌲The wiggly bridge was fun to cross over, and the woods were beautiful to explore around. 🐠Fisherman’s Walk is also right there, and takes you out to the York harbor. It links up with the Cliff Walk Trail which has even more scenic views (but my kids were done 🫠, so we didn’t get that far this time). 🚗Parking can be a bit of a pain, unless you have a parking permit for the area, but there are some 2-hour parking spots on Rt 103 (Lilac Lane) where you can start the Fisherman’s Walk, Wiggly bridge and Steedman woods trails. ☀️Definitely check out these trails if you want an easy, scenic, and perfect-for-little-kids nature walk. #wigglybridge #steedmanwoods #fishermanswalk #yorkmaine #exploremaine #familygetaway #familyfriendlytravel #familyadventures #explorenewengland #explorenewenglandwithkids #mynewengland #newenglandoutdoors #newenglandliving #newenglandlife #hikingwithkids #kidsinnature
