Oh Wow, what a gem! I was looking for a place halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh to meet up with my friends for a play date as we were visiting family from Las Vegas and decided upon this place, not knowing what to expect. It was such a surprisingly interesting, innovative hands on, creative , full of fun place! The kids entertained themselves for hours and could have spent even more time, but they were closing and we had to leave. It is two floors, and is not very large, but it is jam packed with all sorts of activities that will captivate the kid's attention for a long time. Whether you want to be a meteorologist, an engineer, a musician, whether you like water play, or want to make tons of crafts, want to record your own dace , or climb a rotating wall ....this is the place for you.. and there is just so much more. Ralf Urbach has such a good creative vision! We really enjoyed talking to him and our visit, and only wished we lived closer to visit...
Read moreThis place is so much fun. I have 3 children ages 3, 9, and 14. While my oldest may be growing out of this, my younger 2 enjoy it. This is the best place to explore on a cold or rainy day. We can spend a couple hours here without even noticing the time. It's nice to be able to let my toddler touch things without worrying about her breaking anything and iss safe enough that I can keep her insight but let her explore on her own at the same time.
I have a couple parent friends who have bought season passes and go here all the time. They utilize the passes year round, going twice monthly or so. For me, I'm not sure we would get out here often enough, but if you are a stay at home parent of a toddler, you can't go wrong.
One thing I would love to see added would be a cafe of some sort. Like I said, it's easy to lose time here and sometimes toddlers (and moms) get a little cranky when they're hungry (or...
Read moreThe staff were very nice. Gave us a locker key for our personal items. There's plenty to do, and it's very entertaining. The main issue is that the building is extremely loud. As someone sensitive to noise this does dampen the experience. Especially with hundreds of toddlers screaming and yelling, as if their parents just let them run off and do whatever. The kitchen area is a complete mess. Nothing is in the correct area, there are no eggs in the chickens, nor is there food in the baskets. The sensory room was the best part. The lights are lovely, and the different textures are comforting. I do wish there were more additions to the room in the future. The music machine was also a highlight. Unfortunately some of the instruments weren't functioning anymore, which we had to figure out ourselves with no sign, it was still a very fun experience nonetheless. Somewhere I will...
