This review could start all the way back in 2012 when I saw dark Knight rises in this theater, the sound was atrocious.
Last year I saw a quiet place day one and the auditorium had a busted crackling speaker, in four film that relies so heavy on sound as part of its experience, there's very little enjoyment to be had. A few months later I saw Beetlejuice Two in the same auditorium and the speaker was still busted.
On top of these complaints the reclining seats don't work half the time, the auditoriums are hot, and the overall quality has just steadily gone downhill and that can apply to other AMC locations in general.
Now, last night is what pushed me to give this theater specifically a one-star review and to give customers a heads up.
I went to see fantastic four, the sound mix was off and it was hot in the theater, but what was really weird was the projector.
At times during the film it was kind of like watching a 3D movie but without the glasses on? I was starting to get a headache through the film in my eyes kept trying to correct themselves. I realize something was definitely off of the projector as text that would come on screen appeared obviously wonky.
I tell the guy coming in to the auditorium to clean after the film and he tells me that they know about it and that they've been waiting on a single guy from like Kansas City or someplace to come fix the projector but he's sick?
Like there's one guy in a five-state area to do this and he's not available, and they know their projector is broken but they're not giving customers a heads up about it and they're charging full price.
To me that's just straight up not acceptable and it's a prime example of why so many are switching to home theaters.
I'm just done with AMC, I canceled my a-list which I've been a part of for years now, going to the movies should be a pleasant experience and AMC is...
Read moreThis theater must really be on its last leg in terms of management supervision. We went the evening after Christmas and the entire establishment was utterly gross. Sticky floors until carpet, then the 3D glasses all over the floor, and the bathrooms were disgusting.
The highlight was the women’s restroom as it 's entire stall options had ONE single stall available. The rest were “out of order”.
Going to the washroom before our 3.5 hour long movie started, I realized too late that the lone single stall did not have toilet paper. Upon completion of forced drip drying, I then find there to be NO soap in the soap dispenser.
I notified the guest relations staff nicely. Mid movie, I needed to visit the ladies room again only to find the same exact situation. I go back to the counter and notify a young lady, who states "management was told".
I explained that staff was notified before 715 and it is now 945pm. I went to go to relive myself on the opposite side of the theater restrooms and again no soap but this time no paper towels.
The cherry on top was that the heat felt like it was 90 degrees. It was literally a sauna. My spouse and I felt like we died and went to hell and was baking in the desert even after removing every appropriate item of clothing, we were still sweating as more than I usually do then an hour at cycle bar despite the 22 degrees outdoors. It was balmy and swamp like 3.5 hour experience. Shockingly, when our movie was over at 1130 is when I finally saw a staff member carrying toilet paper to the women's restroom. Closing duties are NOT THE TIME to ensure your single available stall has toilet paper, no update on the hand soap.
I needed two showers when I got home to rid myself of this epic adventure at Yukon AMC. Wound give it less than 1...
Read moreHorrible Customer Service! Visited theatre on Friday, February 21st, 2020. After watching a movie I left only to realize once I got home that my two cell phones had apparently fell out of my pocket while sitting in the recliner. I immediately called the theatre to asked someone to check the specific chair I was sitting in to see if the phones were there. As expected, I spoke to one of the many high school workers, none of which were interested in helping. This was not unexpected because neither were they willing to help while at the concession for the movie. They were more interested in gathering at one of the counters to socialize. None the less, the young man finally agreed to to check and told me he would get back with me if they found anything. Instead, I asked to remain on the phone while he had someone check, which he accommodated.
A few minutes later he came back and said his manager was still checking. Several more minutes later he came back and said they couldn’t find anything. During the time of the call I had started back to the theatre which was a 15 minute drive. Shortly after being told nothing could be found, I entered the theatre and asked to check myself. The attendant was almost like really, we told you they aren’t here. I insisted and was then allowed to go check. What do you think I found sitting in the seat of the recliner I ask them to check? Yep, the two phones they said they couldn’t find. They couldn’t find them because they simply didn’t care enough to check. I have gone to this theatre on a regular basis but it is obvious they don’t care enough about their customers to simply check into something as important as this. There are definitely better movie options available in...
