I was excited to try Cava as a lover of Mediterranean food, but was completely disappointed by the entire experience. I'm not taking points off for the wait time, as I went with my husband around dinnertime on a Friday, but waiting 20+ minutes in a Chipotle-style line is a bit excessive. This isn't a knock on the staff; the GM clearly needs to hire more people for a rush. As for the actual portion sizes, they must be taking hints from Chipotle's greediness as well because they hardly give any meat (even if you're paying $2–3 extra for lamb or steak). If you order pita chips, they give you a tiny cup half-filled with your sauce of choice, and if you want a second one, it's $3. Steep, but if the food is good, that kind of thing can be overlooked. But the food... isn't good. Cava somehow managed to take one of the healthiest, tastiest types of food and turn it into overpriced, under-spiced, salt-riddled garbage. I got a lamb bowl with rice and greens, and my husband got a chicken bowl with the same base, and we each chose various toppings. Neither of us were impressed. They don't even have gyro meat as an option. Both bowls were incredibly salty and severely lacking in meat. I'm not exaggerating when I say I got a pinch of lamb on my bowl. We also got pita chips—how in the world do you ruin pita bread? Cava has the answer: deep-fry it and cover it in salt. I ate half my bowl and 2 pieces of bread, and my heart was racing. I can't stress enough how much sodium this place puts in their food. I threw the rest of my food away and will not be coming back. $30 for heart palpitations (two bowls and one order of pita chips—no drinks or anything else)—what a waste of money. We were looking forward to a decent fast-food-style Mediterranean joint in Yukon, but Cava is absolutely not it. Tony's remains the best place for all things Greek in Yukon, and Basil Mediterranean Cafe is still the best in OKC. If you spend $30 at either of these establishments, you'll be satisfied and full of good, nourishing food—not the highly processed, overpriced...
Read moreI need to rave about the phenomenal service I received during my last visit to Cava. Kendall, my server… the most spectacular young man, opened up the interaction with the most enthusiastic personality. I rarely come across such a kind, strong-willed, experienced server but this was the most amazing service, I have ever received in the 46 years of my life. Seriously, this person deserves a raise, a promotion, and maybe even their own Cava franchise. Kendall’s energy was incredibly infectious. He navigated the line with.. such grace, explaining all the options with such enthusiasm that even the most indecisive person (like me!) could build the perfect bowl. But here’s what really helped me out: his recommendations. I was extremely lost and overwhelmed with the various amount of options, but Kendall swooped in with suggestions that were SPOT ON! He knew the menu inside and out, and he wasn’t afraid to guide me toward some unexpected combinations that totally BLEW MY MIND. Kendall clearly loves working at Cava, and their passion was contagious. I’m already dreaming about my next visit. Seriously Cava, hold onto this employee for dear life! They’re not just serving food; they’re creating a stupendous experience. So, to the amazing server who made my day: Thank you so much! Five stars all...
Read moreFastly becoming one of my favorite restaurants for fresh produce and big flavors. I love the Greek salad with Falafel. Grain bowls are huge if you have a big appetite. Have you tried this place? Update from April 15, 2025: I need to make some suggestions to the Yukon location, or I will not be going back! I haven't been in two weeks because of one of the employees. I always order the Greek salad with falafel, and they charge me for a grain bowl, which I'm fine with. One employee, when I ask for super greens to be added, she wants to up charge me. Then she insults me with 3 or 4 pieces of greens. The three times she has waited on me, she puts the chicken on it, which I can not eat. Two weeks ago, she did the same thing, and I questioned her about why she was the only one to upcharges my order? She responded, doing her job, getting down to the proteins, and she tried to add the chicken again, and I said no, and she said I was being rude and walked away and wouldn't finish my order. Wasn't being rude, just trying to stop her before she messed my order up again. The bowl sizes are never consistent at this location with the prices they charge they need to be more consistent. Today's order was smaller, and today, there was a...
