WARNING! GUARANTEED NIGHTMARE! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.If you dream of Vietnam's culture, coffee, fruits, and food, this so-called "hotel" will be your worst nightmare. It shattered my dreams, leaving only disgust and deep disappointment.I. FOOD: DANGEROUS TO HEALTH AND DISGUSTINGCoffee: Forget real Vietnamese coffee. They serve a bitter, tasteless imitation.Food (Breakfast): Meals caused heartburn and nausea, like "Russian roulette." Symptoms vanished when eating elsewhere. This is worse than budget tour food.Fruits: Poor selection: tasteless tangerines, rock-hard guava, warm watermelon, and bananas that looked like animal feed. No variety.Flies: At breakfast, flies were all over the openly displayed food. Guests tried to wave them away; staff saw this and did absolutely nothing, showing complete indifference.Leftovers: Stale, day-old pâté and cheese were served – this is biological waste.Bringing Your Own Food: Tellingly, guests brought THEIR OWN FOOD to breakfast. The hotel's food is so inedible.Dinner: A small, repetitive menu. Drinks cost extra. Depressing presentation, small portions, and very mediocre taste.II. ROOM: FILTH, UNSANITARY CONDITIONS, AND MALFUNCTIONS (FAR FROM 5 STARS!)Plumbing: Constant problems. On arrival, the toilet flush was broken. After a "repair," the bidet shower leaked, flooding the floor; the puddle and wet towel were not cleaned until the next day. The shower head also leaked badly from its connection.Breakages: The towel rack was half torn off the wall. The bathtub drain was broken and unusable until we complained multiple times.Mold: The swimsuit drying rack in the bathroom was full of black mold, meaning drying clothes there infects them with fungus.Water: In a self-proclaimed "5-star" room, drinking water was almost non-existent. Only two small bottles provided, barely enough for brushing teeth. At breakfast, they try to SELL you tea/coffee at high prices. The paid mini-bar had very little drinking water, focusing on alcohol and sugary drinks.Shaving Kits: The disposable razors are terrible – impossible to shave without getting cut.III. GROUNDS & ATMOSPHERE: BOREDOM, DIRT, AND LACK OF CULTUREEntertainment: None. You either get bored in the hotel or have to find activities elsewhere.Dirt: Piles of dirty dishes with leftover food sat in hallways for days, smelling awful and attracting insects.Guest Behavior & Staff Inaction: Expect uncultured behavior from many guests (e.g., using hands in communal food, dropping food on the floor and putting it back, children sitting on dining tables, loud music on the beach). The staff did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this total disregard for hygiene and basic manners.IV. SERVICE: COMPLETE LACK OF CUSTOMER FOCUS AND GREEDLate Check-out: The hotel was less than half full. When our flight was rescheduled, we asked for a 3-4 hour late check-out. They demanded we PAY FOR A FULL DAY. This is blatant greed and poor service, showing no customer care, especially when a gesture of goodwill would have cost them nothing.Information: No information about services at check-in. We found out about the free shuttle to GrandWorld by accident after repeatedly asking staff. They also gave us wrong bus schedules for Safari and VinWonders.V. VERDICT: NOT 5 STARS, BUT A COMPLETE FAILURE AND DISGRACE!This hotel isn't just bad – it's disgusting. It doesn't deserve even three stars, let alone the claimed five. The advertised 5 stars are an outright lie. Staying here is repulsive and leaves a feeling of disgust.STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! If you value your nerves, health, money, and want positive memories of Vietnam – AVOID THIS PLACE. It's a guaranteed way to ruin your entire vacation! Don't let this horrible place discourage you from exploring beautiful Vietnam - just choose a...
Read moreAvoid. Not a True 5-Star Experience. Just checked out this morning after a 6 night stay. I’ve stayed at a Radisson Blu in Fiji and it was lovely. This was not.
Our stay at this so-called 5-star hotel has been disappointing and very expensive. This was double the cost of what some of the other 5 star hotels like Novotel were charging and I regret not picking any one of them now.
We arrived with high expectations for a memorable New Year’s holiday, but it has been far from enjoyable.
While any one of these issues would usually be brushed off by me they just kept compounding. Issue after issue. Every. Single. Day.
New Year’s Eve Gala was fully booked, and we were left out of an event in our own hotel despite planning our travel to be here for New Years Eve. The alternative buffet dinner was very average.
Our drinks order at the beach bar took inexplicably long to arrive – over half an hour for canned drinks, no less. Similarly, the ongoing service by the pool has been abysmal. Despite pressing the service buttons repeatedly, we are ignored. Waiting an hour for food, only to be told our pizza was unavailable.
To make matters worse, my son was unnecessarily singled out and embarrassed by being asked to remove his swimming shirt, while others were allowed to wear similar rashies. This bizarre incident was told to be a miscommunication but I have no idea what was the point.
Our accommodation is not family-friendly, as our rooms were not near each other despite a specific request during booking. The sound insulation is not very good. I can hear people next door and across the hall.
Since airing our grievances within the first 24 hours of our 6 night stay, there have been no substantial improvements. Set menu dinners lack availability of dishes, compounding by the terrible pool service and lunch menu. Pool service continues to be unreliable, with buzzing devices going unanswered.
While the breakfast buffet is generally acceptable food wise it’s like the hunger games. It’s so busy and a fight to get an egg. Also, obtaining a cappuccino at a 5-star venue should not involve queuing at malfunctioning self-serve machines. I should be able to order one that is made by a human. Not just at breakfast but from the pool, my room, anywhere, any time.
The general dissatisfaction among guests is evident, with others echoing our concerns vocally and recently here on Google reviews too.
Our final day at the beach was met with no available towels, both at the beach and pool.
Meetings to resolve our issues have been ineffective, with no meaningful compensation offered beyond a trivial laundry concession, which barely dents 1-2% of our overall accommodation bill which is about $AUD 1,000 per night.
The meeting with guest services yielded apologies, but no real solutions. The claim that partial refunds aren't possible is hard to believe and disappointing.
Adding insult to injury, when again, after this meeting trying to order some food at the pool, my wife was told by staff at the pool that we were not hotel guests, questioning the existence of our room number.
Overall, this has been a profoundly disappointing and frustrating experience not befitting the Radisson name, and has not met even the basic expectations of a 5-star establishment. Steer clear. Not a proper...
