Mistico 23 Hostel — Hotel in El Chaltén

Stay away from this hostel!!!!!!!! When we came to check in we were told 2 of our 4 reserved beds were given away and had only 2 beds available. We had a night trek so the woman at the reception offered to give us just the two beds and let the four of us come in to shower, we agreed without another choice… When we came in the morning to check out the owner (!!!!)told us we had to pay for 4 beds, we explained a number of times what the woman told us a night before and all she did was yell and scream at us and make us pay for the 4 beds we did not have, while threatening to charge our credit card from booking and calling police. Unfortunately, I really can't recommend staying here. It is cheap, yes, but especially in the high season it is crammed full of people. The rooms are as tiny as they can possibly be, nothing is working properly, there is not even toilet paper in the toilets - just one shared roll for all "compartments". Also, it is very loud and often kind of dirty. And just so you know, there is no WiFi in the rooms. I really like staying in hostels and do not have high expectations, but I really can't recommend this one. The issues with it are all easily fixable, but until they do, find another place to stay.
