Monte Rojo " Restaurante - Bar " — Restaurant in El Chaltén

Affordable place compared to others in town, but you get what you pay for. Positive: great beer from local brewery, decent prices and cozy casual interior. No ventilation at all, expect to come out smelling strongly of oil/food. Negatives: the food quality could be much improved. Came here because I was in the mood for a good burger - definitely skip if you plan on this. Burger Americana had a good price and came with fries (6600 ARS). I was hoping for a good simple burger, but sadly that wasn't the case. The burger itself consisted of: soggy bread, overcooked beef patty, slices of soggy bacon, a splash of BBQ sauce and one slice of burger cheese. No onions, no lettuce, no tomato, nothing. The fries were also not cooked well - oily and soggy, clearly not fried at the right temperature. I saw that we were not the only ones in the restaurant that didn't finish their plate. Overall: go here if you're on a very tight budget or only coming for drinks, otherwise I recommend spending a bit more for a higher...

Just avoid this place!!!! This restaurant spoiled all our impression from Fitz Roy scenery. We hoped to have a great dinner however instead of dinner we got something that was impossible to eat. We ordered vegetables soup, veg burger with quinoa and steak. Veg burger was definitely not fresh it has some bad taste and veg soup was the same. We could not eat even half of our food.

When we told to the owner that we did not like the food and we didn’t eat anything they just simply said that it’s our problem and they did nothing to fix the issue. It was the worst and the most expensive dinner we’ve had in Argentina during 1 month traveling.

So just avoid this place if you don’t want to ruin the day impression from this wonderful...

I have very mixed feelings about this place. Pros: They are open without siesta and have good wifi Cons: quality of food except for steak

We had steaks with salad and fries, burger and pizza over the course of 2 days. We also had 2 beers on happy hours - no explanation what happy hour is, no English spoken, but I guess second beer was 50% off. Appetizer was good. Steak was really good. Salad was... just salad. Fries were horrible (soft, not salted, not tasty). Burger was average (I had plenty of better and cheaper burgers in Poland, and Argentina is supposedly place with heavenly beef), pizza was really bad (dough was either poor or store bought, sauce was ok, cheese was regular cheese instead of mozzarella, olives...
