Me and my friend stayed here and whilst the room was on the small side, it was great and wonderfully close to the centre of town. The bed was super comfortable and room temperature perfect with the choice of reverse cycle air-con/heating. The gorgeous little patio with street entrance was a lovely addition as is the quaint fish pond. Definitely recommend a stay but may only be suited to a couple, due to the size. 😊

Had such a gorgeous stay here in their garden suite. The room was absolutely stunning and exactly as advertised! Location was super convenient just a short walk away from the main strip yet just enough away from the hustle and bustle. Parking was free and easy just around the corner. The staff was lovely and the pin entry locks on the doors made it super easy and secure!

We stayed for three nights. We initially booked two but ended up extending for one more. The place was small but cozy, and I really liked it. It was self check-in, which was super convenient. We paid around $150 per night. The location was great — close to both the beach and the town.

Cannot fault our stay here. Both Nick and Adam were helpful and efficient, their communication with us was excellent. We only stayed 3 days so a relatively short trip but we were offered fresh towels on day 2 which were delivered to our room. During our stay we had a crazy rain storm which did cause some issues with the hot water, this was totally beyond control of bayhaven but they messaged us right away to let us know, told us it would be fixed as soon as possible and within a few hours we received a message to say it had all been sorted. They were transparent and honest and we couldn’t have asked for more than that. There is parking on Milton street, which is literally round the corner (about 3/4 mins walk) that is ideal if you have a car with you. The location of Bayhaven itself was perfect for us. A short walk into town where you have access to everything, shops bars restaurants and the beach! It is on the main road into town so the road does get busy but the noise of the traffic didn’t disturb us at all. You also don’t have to worry about leaving the room without a card or key to get back in, all the gates and doors are coded, we found this really helpful! The room was fully equipped with everything we needed, hairdryer, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Everything was provided. The only criticism we would have is the bathroom/ toilet set up , yes they’ve made great use of the space available, and the shower is great (hot and powerful!) but there is limited space for toiletries and storage. My partner is also 6”3 and struggled as the sink is small and surrounding area is quite tight. We had a hanging toiletry bag which there was a hook for but I had to put everything else (makeup bag and hair stuff etc) on the kitchen counter worktops. In the grand scheme of things its only a small criticism and wouldn’t stop us coming back, but as a female it’s just something I noticed! Overall a solid 8/10 and we throughly...

We were due to arrive today and paid the full amount for the 2 bedroom accommodation in advance for 3 nights, $1,500. We contacted the property manager, Geni, 4 days ago by phone to ask for a refund as Cyclone Alfred was due to hit the same day as our reservation (today). The manager is very rude and said no they do not refund any money under any circumstance. I contacted her again 2 days ago and said we definitely can't come as our plane flights are now cancelled. We were told by everyone else we were meeting in Byron Bay for a wedding that they were all now evacuating and all other properties refunded in full due to safety reasons. I asked that due to the news of flooding happening aswell as the cyclone could I please have a refund, she said "No" as she "needed the money to buy things" and proced to hang up on me, as she said someone else is trying to call her, she said she would call me back, but never did. I have since had bookings.com contact her by phone and email and they found her to have the attitude, that they will keep all of the money received eventhough they are unaccessable. The lady at Bookings.com said she was the only person running accommodation in the cyclone area she contacted unwilling to refund and their hands are tied unless the owner or manager agrees. I would love for the owner of the property to contact me as this property is managed by the rudest and uncaring lady ever, Geni, who just cares about getting money for a service they...

Nice location, lovely little accommodation I like the keypads instead of key access... However I'm not sure if I would stay again.. for 2 reasons, firstly the window in the room is extremely unsafe it wouldn't take a master criminal to figure out how to open it, when we got there the window wasn't secure when we opened it worryingly there were steps outside leading to our window for no apparent reason. we secured the window as best we could but a good pull it would be open. it seems to back onto some sort of field or neighbouring yard which there's a hole in the fence so easy access for people to get to... the walls and windows are very thin can hear everything outside from the road traffic, birds and wildlife but most annoyingly there was some sort of generator or extractor fan outside the windows which were on all night every night loud and vibrating to the point we could feel it from the bed I can only assume its something to do with the air conditioning... the room we were in was tiny the larger rooms look gorgeous. if I did come back it would have to be in one of the larger rooms only a 5 minute walk into the centre to ideal location. free parking only a few...
