Il Buco Cafe & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Byron Bay

I hate to be this person but the experience was so bad I feel I need to warn others! The service was shocking, the two waiters we dealt with were extremely rude and really couldn’t care less if you were there or not. Then after waiting 40 minutes for a margarita pizza it finally came out and the disappointment just continued. The tomato base was watery and flavourless and then to add to it there was 4 bits of mozzarella the size of rabbit droppings! I did explain to one of the waiters that the pizza wasn’t nice but he couldn’t have cared less. So we left and ate some very nice chips from a kebab shop across the road (would definitely recommend, ask for chicken salt!) 5 Star Pizza!! Without a doubt one of the top Pizzas you will get along the east Coast. I had to wait for over one hour and to be honest, it was worth it. Sadly one of the stuff member lied to me. I dont know why, but He said its only possible to take away and so i have waited next door on a Bench. I could see from there, that other customers could still get a table and even got their Pizza far earlier than i did. After an hour and ten minutes i came into the shop again and He said to me right away: Hey, i told you to come in 1 and a half hour! Which was the second lie He told me. i cannot accept being treated as customer like that. Sorry, but the least thing to expect is not getting lied to ... Therefore...

I heard that the pizza was very good. But I can’t confirm that. I tried Saturday evening, the place supposed to close at 10pm. They refused us (5 people) at 9:15pm, because it was too quite. So, you have a restaurant and you refuse customers because it’s too quite ? 5 people wanted to come eat at your place, 5 customers wanted to give you money. Worst managing ever for me. If you don’t want to work just stop to work in hospitality. If the restaurant was very empty, and that the kitchen was closed I can eventually understand.
