The only good thing about this “hotel” is the location. 10/10 in the town centre, so close to bars, restaurants and the beach. We booked our trip to Byron bay very last minute so I know there would be a risk, as this was the only place left with availabilities. At first glance the lobby was clean and bright with a very friendly young girl as the receptionist. She explained how to get to our rooms, and provided us with a map. HOWEVER The elevator was absolutely filthy with an awful smell, as was the walk way to our room. As for the Bathroom, there was a huge tile leaning against our bathtub.....The carpet was sticky and so dirty when you walk your feet will be black. I was sick at the idea. The AC dripped all night onto the huge lamp that was placed underneath it and onto power cords, and my very expensive dress was soaked. When I went downstairs to tell the receptionist I was greeted by another lady who was rude dismissive and just awful. Now I do not expect a refund, I do not expect to be moved, but not even an apology or to ask for details on my damaged property.  I am disgusted. She told me she would send someone ASAP.... It was three hours and my floor was drenched. ( I told her about the power cords being wet and im still waiting on someone to come help. ) . Her solution was to get a bucket. Every review is responded to with “ we appreciate honest reviews and we will take it into consideration”..... I assume they do this so it appears that they are understanding and considerate. DO NOT LISTEN like I did and please book somewhere else. The most disgusting service...

Unfortunately, I had the worst experience ever. The only reason I have decided to book Byron Bay Hotel and Apartments was because they allow dogs. After commuting for a long time as I live in a different city, I was highly disappointed when it turned out that I got a different room than the one I booked. My room was supposed to come with a mini bar, electric kettle etc Meanwhile, it was just a small room with one bed and nothing else. It was a surprise as they still charge me for a large room with a mini bar etc plus took a bond of $100, which shouldn't be taken as I didn't have mini bar. The receptionist said "oops human mistake" and still took the money. Then, without ever saying I'm sorry she said I need to pay additional $80 because I have a dog, which wasn't mentioned anywhere when I was making a booking. I wanted to talk to the manager but the receptionist didn't listen to me, upon seeing how damaged the room was already I decided to cancel my booking. The carpet was ripped in multiple spots plus there were stains on the bed. This room was definitely not worth over $400...

Our apartment had dirty couches (feathers everywhere). The floor had things left over from last guests eg dental hygiene on the floor. The kitchen was dirty, dirty utensils dirty pots and pans.

For ~$600 a night you’d think we’d get clean towels and a service each day for the suite we paid for. Instead I was told we can wash our own towels using the washing machine in the apartment. Had to ask reception for towels every few days.

The room was serviced once on our last day of the week spent here. Place not tidied- just bed made and towels handed at the door. We had to ask the cleaner to remove the dirty towels.

They did not empty any bins or top up the soap in the shower and on the sink which was empty.

Really poor cleaning service at this hotel and for that I wouldn’t come back. Part of a hotel stay is having the room serviced and not having to wash your own towels, otherwise I feel like I’m not on proper holiday. Next time I’ll pay for another hotel in the area that offers proper hotel service with proper...

First Impressions: Easily accessible with parking out the front of reception when required and parking on the street. Location: Located smack bang in the middle of town. Great if you don’t have a car and want to be able to walk everywhere in the CBD. Rooms: The first impression of the King Room is its clean, comfortable and plenty of room for our luggage, however some things to note: - Outside of the rooms was a little run down and maintenance being done but as the corridors can be “outside” it wasn’t the cleanest and often dungeon feel. - Elevator is a bit slower Facilities: Has a pool but personally we didn’t use it. Overall it's a good option if you want to be close to everything.

This hotel and apartments was very nice. A microwave and fridge was in this very clean room. There were stairs to the second level although elevators served the second level too. It was a bit of a different set-up with many rooms around the perimeter of the building. Unfortunately our room 206B backed onto a very noisy hostel or nightclub that played low bass music extremely loud - sounded like a back headache as it reverberated through the room. This ended around 11:30 or so but made sleeping difficult. If you stay here and you enjoy a good sleep don't choose this room. The location is quite good - close to shops and several coffee bars and restaurants.
