The Newport On Macrossan — Hotel in Port Douglas

I booked a studio as a solo traveller and couldn't have had a more enjoyable stay - value for money is 5 star. The room was compact as advertised but for 1 person was absolutely fine and cosy - large and modern bathroom, comfortable soft bed and a small private courtyard. Being right up the back of the property was quiet too (just be aware there is no lift if you're bothered by stairs ask for a first level room). Tea and Coffee facilities and fridge + freezer is provided, a microwave would be a nice addition however the next room style up (1 bedroom) has cooking facilities. Otherwise really had everything I needed including a small wardrobe with hangers and drawers, great wifi and Netflix. Secure lock up garage is great if you have a car or bike (I had both) and the location is absolutely perfect right in town close to everything. We stayed here for 5 nights, check in was a breeze with Patrick. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor and Patrick assisted with our luggage and explained everything about the apartment. |Unfortunately this property has no lifts and has lots of stairs but everything else was amazing.|The resort is Adults Only which was amazing, the pool is heated and also has a bbq area by the pool.|Close to so many great restaurants and pubs as well as a few clothes and jewellery stores for my wife.|The apartment had everything that you would need for a great holiday.|The Daintree is approximately 40 minutes drive and Cape Tribulation a further 60 minutes which is easily done in a day.|We would not hesitate in recommending this resort to anyone wanting to visit...

Booked and stayed 2 weeks in July 2023||Very friendly welcoming from Patrick ( manager )||The unit we stayed in 12 very large compared to most ,with balcony front and back so Sun the morning and afternoon .||Walk in shower on suit and plenty full cupboard and hanging space.||Television 55 cm in lounge also in bedroom brilliant .||Pool heated and very very clean and maintained.||Sheets and towels changed once a week .||Position is to end of Macrossan st opposite Coles supermarket with all restaurants easily accessed ||Highly recomend...
