Cafe Ziva in Port Douglas is a delightful spot that blends a relaxed tropical vibe with genuinely excellent coffee and service. Nestled in the heart of Macrossan Street, this café is an easy choice for anyone seeking a quality coffee experience or a cozy break from exploring the area.
One of the standout aspects of Cafe Ziva is their attention to detail when it comes to making drinks. Their hot chocolate is particularly noteworthy—it’s rich, smooth, and has just the right balance of sweetness and depth. Unlike some places where hot chocolates can be overly milky or syrupy, theirs has a satisfying cocoa flavor that lingers in the best way. It’s clear they take pride in making it properly, and the result is a comforting, well-crafted drink that’s perfect for both cool mornings and warm afternoons.
For those who appreciate a more adventurous take on coffee, their oat milk cappuccino with turmeric is an absolute winner. The oat milk is perfectly steamed, giving it a creamy and silky texture that pairs beautifully with the warmth of turmeric. The turmeric itself isn’t overpowering but adds a lovely earthiness and a hint of spice, complementing the coffee’s natural flavors. It’s the kind of drink that feels both indulgent and nourishing at the same time—a rare combination that’s hard to get just right.
Beyond the drinks, Cafe Ziva shines with its welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Service is quick, professional, and always accompanied by a warm smile, making it clear that the team values their customers. The café also has a relaxed and inviting setup, making it a great spot to sit and watch the world go by while enjoying your coffee.
Whether you’re after a classic hot chocolate, a well-crafted specialty coffee, or just a friendly place to start your day, Cafe Ziva delivers with consistency and charm. It’s the kind of café you find yourself returning to, knowing that each visit will be just as good as the last. Highly...
Read moreAppalling customer service, would not recommend. I have ordered a couple of meals and a coffee. The barista then mentioned he is just about to have his lunch break, so i smiled and said no probs and asked for the coffee after my meal so he can have his lunch and i also mentioned that either way i would rather have my coffee after my meal. He then started arguing, saying that he is the only one who can make coffee there and would prefer making it now. I said that i don't want to have my coffee with my meal and then he started getting angry with me, arguing even more which was really embarrassing both for me and the nice girl that was servicing me. I then cancelled my coffee order and paid for the meals, quite disappointed and shocked tbh. Then i decided to cancel my order altogether as i didn't feel comfortable staying and was told by the manager they "don't refund to the card beause the machine isn't set up for it and that (without even knowing what happened), he doesn't think his employer did anything wrong and i should go because i got my money back" (which they have refunded in cash although I preferred on the card). The other employee who saw what happened apologized which i really appreciated, but overall the worst experience ever. Ended up having a great meal at a restaurant just...
Read moreUndoubtably a forgettable experience. Waited 30 minutes to get my Toasted sandwich and my Babe of a Misso had to wait about 35mins for her breakfast. So the gentleman I am, I waited for her to get hers so I pretty much waited 35mins also to get to eat. Don't get me wrong the food was nice but the time to prepare the food is ridiculous, this ain't a 5star restraunt so come on folks. Today it wasn't particularly busy. A lot of empty tables and still a lot of staff. The staff just seemed to hate eachother and didn't seem to get on well with eachother. They seemed to be in foul moods caused by eachother which in turn produced the atmosphere this morning to be tense and they weren't very friendly and genuine. I have some tips for this crew to improve.
I hope this review not only benefit visiting customers know about what to expect but also to let the staff know what can be done to improve. Always remember being good isn't good enough and there is always room to improve.
