Read moreI came here for a late lunch with my husband during the long weekend due to an offer from EatClub and had high hopes due to the vast menu and great reviews on Google.
We ordered:
• Ginger Beer • Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri • 1/2 Rack of Pork Ribs with Chips • 1/2 Rack of Beef Ribs with Mashed Potato
My husband enjoyed his ginger beer and my frozen strawberry daiquiri was very generous and affordable for its price.
The pork and beef ribs were below average in our opinion. The beef ribs were not slow-cooked enough where the meat would be falling off the bone and the pork ribs were tough and dry in certain parts. The waitstaff also gave my husband chips instead of mashed potato but made up for this by giving us his mashed potato on another plate. My pork ribs did not have chips on the plate but also came separately on another plate. A little strange but nonetheless we weren’t charged for my husband’s extra chips.
The service was very attentive, with one of the young female waitstaff always checking up on us, ensuring we were happy.
The decor and ambience of this restaurant was themed as a sailor or boat style. Very fitting for being right in front of the beach.
The restaurant was quite busy even after 3pm with people coming in for a late lunch even after we arrived.
I honestly want to give this place 5 stars but it falls short for me due to the cooking of the ribs.
It could do with a big improvement...
Read more❌❌❌Tourists, don’t go!❌❌❌ I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The manager’s name was confusing — when we asked the male staff, he said it was Alpa, but when we asked her directly, she said it was Mina. We ordered a set menu that included fish and chips, calamari, and beer. The menu photos clearly showed that a salad was included, but when our order arrived, there was no salad. When I asked the staff, they brought it right away. However, when the manager returned, she claimed that the set didn’t include a salad, which was untrue.
My partner expressed disappointment because the reality didn’t match the photo, and instead of offering an apology or clarification, she loudly scolded us in front of other customers, telling us to be more polite. How is pointing out that the menu didn’t match the photo impolite?
It was incredibly frustrating because she interrupted our meal, and her attitude was rude. If the salad isn’t included in the set, the photo should be updated or a clear note should be added to the description. I can’t believe someone with such poor customer service skills is in charge. Either the restaurant is being dishonest, or they just don’t care about customers.
I will definitely never return and would not recommend it, especially to tourists. The portions were small, the fries were soggy, and the...
