It’s a good place for young people. Reception is in a separate building (The Pod Hostel) but the receptionists are really nice! Loud music in a bar downstairs most nights and the music is unique and kind of muffled so I didn’t mind it (but unfortunately could not Shazam). Dark curtains for good sleep. Windows can be opened for airflow otherwise the room might get a little stuffy in the morning. If you have a top bunk bed (like i did) the light inside the room is really bright and kind of annoying but the beds and pillows are comfortable plus they give you a towel for your stay. The kitchen is small but they have what you need (Microwave, crock pot etc) Everything is super clean especially the bathrooms!!! there is always staff onsite. Cool view of street at night.

Unfortunately, my staying here was not good at all. The room was stuffed with a moldy smell, the windows were closed and for ventilation only a small fan. After talking to an agent, he opened a bit the window but it got worse because right in front of the room there was a sort of generator that went on all night and turned off and on loudly so you couldn't sleep properly. It has no elevator and you must carry your luggage upstairs (tiring depending how many bags you have) and the bar down stairs is as loud as it can be. On top of that, it's as expensive as you can imagine so I do not recommend it. Ah, they don't do the check in the "hotel" but in a different location.

We stayed 3days. We arrived early so I was worried about check in time . But men staff who is wearing the glasses told me early check in was okay . This is budget backpackers but it was worth to pay than i thought . But from 2 day , a staff who was a little elderly women was terrible you know , she was very annoying us and no goodbye saying . I felt she ignored us .. but totally I was satisfied with facilities . If there is a gas stove in the kitchen , it will be better than now . 😅 . Also common area was in renovating . But location is very nice 👍🏻

Only stayed one night. I liked that they one-upped other hostels that just have a refrigerator with a whole kitchenette with plates, cutlery, microwave, rice cooker, toaster, and hot water kettle! Additionally in my room there was a small chair and working table. This is always nice for folks in the upper bunk to have a place to sit that's not someone else's bunk!

However, I disliked that the rooms didn't have A/C (the fan made it bearable but created a lot noise), the beds didn't have curtains, and that unfortunately for both me and a roommate, the WiFi connection didn't work and since this place seems to be administered by The Pod nearby and doesn't have anyone on-site, they couldn't resolve this issue.

Additionally, it's worth noting that since this place is administered by The Pod nearby, there's no reception desk and therefore no lobby for folks to gather, and doesn't lend itself to much of a social atmosphere--probably the only hostel I stayed at on on a long trip where I didn't really...

Very Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend! I had a pretty bad experience staying at Sydney Central Inn. The place is old and not well-maintained. The room wasn’t very clean, and there weren’t even basic essentials like bed sheets—just really bad mattresses, super uncomfortable. Even the fan was tiny and barely helped with the heat. The building itself is outdated, and honestly, the only good thing about it was the location. The process of getting the keys and instructions was terribly organized. It was confusing and made the check-in unnecessarily stressful. We paid for three people, but there were only two chairs in the room—something so basic that should have been taken care of. The old windows were nearly impossible to open or close properly, which was frustrating. Overall, it felt way overpriced for the state it was in. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I definitely won’t be...
