Chamberlain Hotel (C-Bar) — Restaurant in Sydney

Get ready because this Is a long read. Summery it was terrible.

When I arrived I asked two simple things. 1.Whats your cheapest beer? Was told a $9 schooner. I noticed that there was a sign on another tap that said $8 pints though and pointed it out and the bartender said oh yeah sorry about that so I proceeded to get a schooner of that instead, which ended up being $6 as it was their house lager.

2.Wheres your smoking area?Was told there wasn't one by staff. Thankfully a local in the bar overheard and mentioned the pokie room was the smoking room. Which I thanked him for and then proceeded in there.

After I had gone to the smoking pokie room and had a couple of beers. I was curious how the staff could be so uneducated about their workplace. So I asked the boy who served me, "how do you not know where things are and how much things cost?" "Oh I'm new he said".

Wow top service. After that I was told the pokie room is for pokie players only though and I had to play them to smoke in there. Which I obliged but I've done my RSA and RCG and encouraging gambling is illegal. Technically that's is illegal what their asking. And I did mention that to them which they didn't seem to appreciate but I also noticed the bar manager being very cosy with a women who was gambling pretty aggressively , like $3 slaps and she's put $2000 in the machine in like 20 minutes. Almost seemed like money laundering or maybe the manager knew that the woman had a problem and was trying to make her extra comfy.Could of been nothing but none the less it seemed sketchy as.

Food was mediocre and over priced.

I would like to write a complain about the security guys who physically pushed my girlfriend for no reason and then myself telling me that I have to leave premises. I was enjoying my staying with one of my friend and my girlfriend. I was pushed for no reason as my girlfriend. I think they just wanted the table for someone else. I am going to push this matter higher because it was absollutely unreasonable. Security guy was also recording the video without my consent and probably sent to the near MrB club, because after that we went there and again we were just sitting there drinking the small beer with my gf and the security there told us we have to leave without any explanation. I don't think they really understand what are the rights of security and why they are really there. If you just sitting not even drunk and not making any problems why should I leave. My gf is thai and she loved this place before but was really disappointed how they handled...

The Chamberlain is one of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The interior is relatively small but welcoming, families dining with their children and babies. The C- Bar (fitting seeing as the bar forms a 'C' shape) offers some delightful mocktail and cocktail choices and the service is friendly. In terms of room space, the bar certainly took up a great deal of the floor space. Me and my mate got there around dinner time so it had quite a crowd but we managed to find a seat after 15-20 minutes.I was excited about eating here tonight because of it's famous $10 schnitzel meal deal...we ordered dinner and it was okay...nothing special. The schnitty ended up being $13.50, the breast fillet (though cooked well) was quite small and it was served with french fries (not fresh) and gravy. Our meals weren't too bad but for my part, and I almost always order the schnitty at any pub I go to... the Chamberlain's grub probably isn't the best value for...
